Oh my, Luka! My wallet just jumped out of my pants and hid behind the corner. Those shots look fantastic. My favorites are the two tile roof buildings and the one after that. As Charles has proven in the past, I LOVE how this lens renders. I need a new job
Luka, somehow I kind of knew this would happen.. that you might not like it before getting one but you will warm up to it after shooting with it. Congrats and extra ++ for the duck, bench and horses. Keep posting!
I'm probably #10 on the wait list at most dealers. ZERO stock
Joe, Ron and Luka ... thanks
Ron, excellent series! Great angles making the shots very interesting.
Ryan, very nice set of shots! Great lens I see you have lux fever
Luka, great set of test shots including the ducks It is an amazing lens.
OML (ohmyluka)! Gorgeous shots - are you sure it's the lux which is the artist? I think it's you my friend, who is the artist! Really nice initial pics. I think i will use any means necessary to extend the loan of the Lux I have at the moment (lol). More pics when you have time!
Joe, great street shot! The different forums provide so much information
Sitting in the traffic tonight, watching the sky turn unusual colours, I was wishing I was down by the beach taking some shots with the sky continuously changing. With the 50 Lux Asph.
I managed a few more shots with the borrowed 50 lux. the ability to shoot at 1/2 the ISO (was going upwards of 640, mostly at 800 and 1000) that i would normally have to use for an f2 lens was really refreshing and great for the IQ.
KL .. thanks
KL, great shots from the stage! Love the last shot.
Ryan, very nice shots! Yes I was driving from the office, and should have detoured to the beach
Thanks guys. Joe, I hear you on that 50 fever. I just got the 35 and Luka has to break out the 50 Lux shots. I will say, the 35 Lux and from what I have seen the 50 Lux are truly amazing lenses. The sharpness wide open rivals good Nikon/Canon lenses stopped down to f/5.6. Sure, the lack of AA filter helps, but these lenses are just truly amazing. I am blown away by the 35.
Ryan, the 35 Lux ASPH is very sharp at all apertures, including wide open. It's sharper than any other 35 I've ever tried at comparable apertures. It has tons of other good qualities, but they are all within reasonable limites.
The 50 Lux ASPH on the other hand.. well, I'm starting to understand now that when Carsten et al are calling it "magical", that they mean it literally. There's some serious dark magic Harry Potter shit going on there. That lens violates the laws of physics. It's impossibly sharp at f/1.4.
