One of the things I feel that my Leica system does best is take images of people. last weekend this beautiful young Mother sat near me on the sea wall of the Mission Beach Boardwalk. She had a new born infant strapped to her chest. It was overcast, misty and foggy all at the same time. This provided amazing light. It was sitting in a light box. So I took the opportunity to take a couple of portraits of this unique and beautiful looking young Mother.
The 50mm Summicron paints such wonderful images...

Beautiful! Such a happy, well-done set of images. 
I fully agree, especially with your first sentence. In my case, it was the Summilux-M 50mm ASPH, combined with an original version M10, that I bought, almost five years ago.
I had retired from 33+ years of public service, as a first responder, the final seven of which had included the added task of evidentiary/forensic/crime scene photography, with an emphasis on images of living, breathing, assault victims, especially family/domestic violence, as soon as possible after the incident. Much of the time, this was done in a hospital ER treatment room, hand-held. The best lens, in the world, for that task, at the time, was the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro, with Image Stabilization, especially when combined with the Canon DSLRs’ AF improvements, in the 2014-2016 time frame. Yes, there is such a thing as “action portraits,” and such a thing as “action macro.” So, understandably, I needed* to, well, try something different. Rangefinder focusing is meditative. Leica lenses have their individual visual signatures. The wonderful M10 sensor contributed to the necessary difference.
*Well, I reckon that it was a want, not a need, but my desire to continue to use a camera NEEDED healing.
