I think a great deal of the credit for that goes to the Leica M camera. I usually engage with some nice comment. I am often surprised how many people know about and comment on the Leica. They love the legacy look. Most ask if I am shooting film. I tell them about that special Leica look, the special lenses, and the manual process. I then suggest that I take a portrait and email it to them. Most are really excited to get a nice portrait from such a special camera. In fact almost no one refuses.
