Today I thought I would try something different. I enjoy riding the trains and subways when I am in Europe or Asia. I had some great trips on the Nairobi to Mombasa narrow gauge back in the day. So, I thought I would try a ride on the San Diego Trolley today. I rode all the way from La Jolla to the Mexican Border and back. I will limit my posting on the experience by saying it was not Europe where everyone of all classes ride the trains. Here it was limited to mostly the very poor. Not a pleasant experience. I will not be doing it again.
In any case, here is an image of one guy that was interesting to talk to. He had a new to him bike and was very excited by it.
He saw me getting ready to take his picture turned, and smiled. That is when I shot this image. He then engaged me in conversation. He had a lot of hard earned character about him. I enjoyed our short chat.
Stopped in a local English Pub last weekend for some fish and chips lunch. There was a good group of happy people watching the World Cup Soccer Games. So, I snapped a quick image of them.
Usually I am a dedicated RF user. But in this case I used Live View on the rear screen to make it easy to focus off center in the low light of the bar area. The Leica M10-P has just enough flexibility, and tools, to get whatever you need done in a way that works for you.
One more from my color collection. This one from a construction site downtown San Diego. I was attracted to the interesting patterns of the jack stands, as well as the yellow/blue horizon created by the shadow line.
I didn't know it at the time, but the guy on the phone is calling security on me for taking pictures. But I was on a public sidewalk so no problems.
