Hello everyone, hope all is well and nice to see all these wonderful pics on this thread. Been away from my camera but weather is warming up and am catching some camera bug again.

I was thinking of adding the ZM 28/2.8 to use with the M 240. A bit wider than my 35, and, IIRC, still a sort of usable viewfinder experience in terms of framing. A question to any users of this combo: what sort of viewfinder cut-off do you get in the corner, where the lens/hood pokes through? Is it mostly just the hood?

I wonder, also, would a pre-asph Leica 28/2.8 fit more with my VC 35/1.4 SC - does it give a more traditional rendering? I imagine the Zeiss will be harder.

I tested a ZM28 way back when I got into Leica with the M9, against the 28/2 Ultron. I don't remember the details about viewfinder blockage - sorry. The ZM definitely has Zeissy punch and is very sharp centrally, though takes a bit of stopping down to bring up the edges/corners for across frame sharpness. I think if you're looking for a gentler vintage 'Leica' rendering, then one of the 28 pre-ASPHs might be a better match. If you're looking for technical performance, then I'd suggest one of the 28 ASPHs. From the Voigtlander lenses I've used and owned, most seem to have a medium contrast level and micro contrast than what is typical from many Zeiss lenses, so an older Leica might be a better match.

Joe - great to see you back! Was wondering if you were still shooting.

I like the first one. I like the composition better and the detail of the falls in nice.

I just wanted to say I really like this series you have been posting. I am just starting to explore the world of Leica and I like the look of this combo. The lack of distortion and the more typical negative things that wide a FOV can do to architecture and faces is not prevalent here. Are you doing any lens corrections in post for these?

Cheers

Thanks Ron, I try to err on caution nowadays and not use the word "shoot" too much in public... "take photos" may be safer, don't want SS agents running at me after I say, "lets go shooting" and they didn't hear "pictures "

Haven't shot much past year, other than family pics. The good thing? Now almost all my lenses feel like they are new again ...

A few recent pics with various lenses. I have sold off quite a few unused lenses but kept some.
