I have been checking by from time to time, but too infrequent to stop and post. Just wanted to note the fantastic variety of subject and thoughtfulness of the images posted here. Always great to stop by . My personal shooting has somewhat slowed down recently as I've come to an end of a project, so I've been collating that and preparing it for display etc. My camera is always with me, but it's been taking a breather of sorts, I'm sure some of you will know what I mean. We're off to Berlin next week so I expect this will kick fire me back into some projects and action.

These particular shots were scanned by my local camera shop, Mike's. They only develop color films and their scans are standard/medium/hi-res(5'ish mb) jpg scans. I tried scanning a few myself last night, but I was so tired that I was only able to do two scans and ended up just uploading the Camera shop scans of my film on my Flickr account. The two I did myself are: Wise Anna & Friends By the River.
The camera shop scans are all standard in size (aka small jpgs) and are very low Rez and noisy. Still trying to find a recipie of scanning and PP that matches the feel of the film. It's a bit of a learning process, much like Photography itself!

Haha! Funny Charlie... It still is shiny new as I have not used it much at all. I love it for my landscape work but almost never use it for other stuff. For the time being, I love my Leica too much and she gets a bit jealous when I mess around with another.
Adam, that's a common problem with shop scanning. My scans used to look exactly the same. If you scan at home, I think the best software is silverfast. Quite expensive and mixed reviews, people either love it or hate it, but I think it's the fastest and best.

Gary, rich dentists can afford almost anything they want. Just a couple of teeth to go Very nice set but interesting effects with the lamps in the image periphery.
