I have given in and have purchased the Zeiss Distagon ZM35/1.4 - the deal/price was just too good for me to miss... or at least that is what I have convinced myself to think to justify the purchase.
Image quality is outstanding even wide open and I really like the microcontrast and colour - just not the weight and size as it is huge in comparison to the very capable but tiny in comparison Zeiss ZM C 35/2.8
Cold November morning in suburban GTA with the Leica T with the 18-56mm. This camera has had more than it's share of bad press, but with the recent firmware upgrade it's a nice camera to use and seems to have decent IQ.
Strolling around Destin Harbor at high noon today with M and Cron 90 AA; not your ideal lighting situation; however, I once was told that the best time to go fishing is whenever you can. Therefore, I am applying that theory to photography, as well.
A few more from Destin Harbor taken with the M Monochrom (246) and Cron 90 AA. It was a bright, sunshiny day, and unfortunately I don't have a ND filter for the Cron - not yet, anyway. I sure could have used it, because I was having to stop down to f/5.6 or better. A couple of these could have benefited from shallower DOF.
Stunning pictures everyone! Love the variety and detail in these posts!
I finally made some time to shoot with the 35mm f/2.8 C Biogon ZM earlier today. These are from the MP (240). The M6 shots are being developed and will be posted here in the coming days. I'm really digging the C-Biogon punch!
Cal, nice to see some T work. Love the autumn leave.
Pandorf, excellent line up!
Joakim, nice to see the Swedish autumn in color
Allen, lovely street work as usual. I really like the new experimentation with shape and form that you're doing.
Charlie, the last shot is really great.
maxx9photo, last set is very nice. The Q colors in artificial light is perfect.
Robert, the black and white set works for me the most. All shots are outstanding. I like stopping down for this kind of work, so I think it works very well in this particular case.
Adam, glad you're enjoying your C-Biogon. I recognized the drawing style immediately Beautiful colors and nice sunburst in the first shot.
