I sat down with a couple of friends at a table last evening at La Cocina, my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant here at the beach. One asked me why I almost always carry a camera. I am trying to explain the obvious reasons when up walks our waiter wearing a huge smile and a daisy-topped ballpoint pen behind his ear. I took his picture; they understood.
its been a looooong time since my last post but was just checking here from time to time. I picked up an M60 set in HK and here are a few of the first shots taken with it
Nice shots everyone! Just wanted to post an update of my small releathering project. Probably not to everyone's taste but I really like the look and it's also hard and grippy. You can see the difference in texture of the old vulcanite from the battery door.

These three at f4 with the M-P and 90mm Summicron ASPH.
All 28 cron....this was 80 mile ride with hike so I went down to three lenses, 50 cron and 90 summarit, overall pretty nice and good weight loss Left my house at 9am and returned at 11pm. Scariest part was drive home from trailhead, which is about an hour, and I saw about 30 deer.....close. TYG did not hit any. My only victim this season has been a bunny But we have a rabbit boom everywhere right now, I pull in my drive way and there are three just hanging around, and not to0 shy This may be partly a result of local Fox mange and predation by the recently reintroduced wolves.

Edwin - congrats on the new camera! I really like the last pic of the first set the most... Is that last pic Mr. Ayala taking his chopper to Puerto Galera?
Rocky - nice job on the re-covering. I "almost" tried that myself but decided otherwise.
