Joakim, quite vivid and reminds me of last night, when I found myself way "out there" as darkness fell, on my recently resurrected trials bike. I was exhausted from a side trip to a local peak, and it was a cold snap. Smoke in the air meant dark was dark. Yet all I did was sweat sweat sweat on the 2 hour technical ride to the jeep, and peer at the trail through a new powerful light I have, that makes every thing look blue/black WB wise, near BW.
Great to see your post Katie. Nice shot BTW and a lovely family. Try and stay cool. I'll be in New Orleans on a shoot for one of my agency clients the 12th-14th and not looking forward to the heat. Hasn't been to bad up here this summer.
A couple from a rather rainy Friday
Long weekend here in Singapore, it's Singapore's 50th Birthday so we've an extended break (Friday and Monday are public holidays).
How much are you pushing those 3200 files in post? I don't normally see that much banding from my camera at that ISO, though I also don't usually shoot it higher than 1600, or ideally 1000...
Summer here has also been comfortable, except for a few days a week ago. Condolences to those suffering from the record highs in Europe. Here are some casual snaps from lunch the day after shooting a wedding in the Muskokas last long weekend:

I've now shot four weddings since updating to firmware 2.0.2.5 and have not had any lock-ups during these events, which tend to average 2000-3000 images on the M. In the past I had what I would estimate a lock-up every 1000 frames, or usually two per event. Sometimes three. I'm using the same cards as before (PNY 128GB Elite Performance 90MB/s or Panasonic Gold 32GB (non-pro version)). I have had a couple lock-ups during casual shooting. One was after the camera had been a couple hours in direct sunlight on a ~33˚C day. But still, it's a considerable improvement over past performance. I assume it's due to the firmware since I have changed nothing else.

For the couple of B&W shots I think i may have pushed it 1 or 2 stops, which I suppose isn't ideal. However as it is the default output at 3200 already has noticeable grain and some banding and the dynamic range is pretty poor so I decided to push them a bit to get a bit more detail and not have excessively underexposed files. I shot on centreweighted metering and auto iso capped at 3200. Might consider capping it at 1600 or just overexposing a little bit in poorer lighting.

Grabbed some shots at an old railway station whose tracks linked Singapore to Malaysia. It's been closed for quite a while, but re-opened for National Day (Singapore's 50th). Heaps of people were decked out in Red/White (mostly red), which are Singapore's national colours.
