After earlier discussion/feedback from everyone (thanks again), I've decided to let go my 35 Lux FLE, it's now listed on Buy/Sell. I'm going to grab a 35 ZM Biogon instead and put the excess towards an MM - a more creative outcome for me - a shiny FLE for someone more worthy/in need.
A few more with m9/21SEM, the SEM is a definite keeper, it makes 21mm wide feel so effortless.

Coogee, my opinion has always been that lenses are more important than cameras, especially in the Leica M world. However, I would definitely upgrade from the M9 due to the sensor cover issue, but since the M240s are selling very cheap these days, this is what I would get, unless you really shoot b/w exclusively.

Rocky - I'd love to see all of those images larger, looks like a great set. Maybe you posted them earlier? I'll have to dig back through the pages I've missed. I've been back from Taiwan/Japan now for a few days, still getting over jet lag. I've got a ton of images to sort through. Once again it's that feeling of chipping away at a mountain. Meanwhile I went out today and shot a bunch more around downtown. But for now, Victoria Day fireworks...
I try to shoot from a different spot each time, to get something new (for me). And I like to include some context/foreground in the images, so this year it's a modest crowd watching from a bridge (most were watching farther up the hill or down in the valley).
Set-up was two cameras. Used the Canon with a 70-200 to get some tighter shots and the M240 with 50mm for a more overall view.

A couple with the Canon... could probably get similar just cropping the Leica shots, for the web, at least...

Happy Victoria Day back to you Ron! It's a beautiful city from distant memories there on a holiday in BC and the Rockies in Aug/Sep 1986. This firework shots look cool. I think you are yet another one of us who much prefers adding shots rather than post-processing the old ones!

I would echo the wish to see Rocky's B&W set, particularly the shot on the LHS in the 2nd set with the woman carrying a child - the light and mood looked great.
Although it is late and I should be asleep. It is going to take a little time getting used to the differences in operation between this and the Classic Monochrom. Took me an hour to get the strap attached and adjusted to the height I like. All my menu settings I set vanished. Hopefully I just cleared it while playing with the buttons.
At this late hour decided I need to take a shot with the Monochrom 246. Not ideal shooting conditions nor an ideal image or even setup. Handheld ISO 12500 90 APO at F2 and 1/125 sec. Used Live View and zoomed in at 10x.

Thank you Ron, Ed and David . Hope you've had a blast in Taiwan and Japan Ron, can't wait to see some of your pics. Japan is my favourite country to visit, the people are so friendly and there's always tons of interesting things to do there. Here's that pic you mentioned David and a few new ones. I've posted the last one in colour before but I think its better in black and white.I'll be contributing more in the future, I'm just working on a leathercrafting project atm. It'll be a nice surprise post for the future.

Queen Vicky Day. You mean I missed it. Managed to finish the video project and deal with 28 bananas sitting on my counter. Very long day yesterday. At least I ended the day with the camera. Will take the camera with me when I head off to campus and hopefully I can get in some shots before class starts.
