Thanks Charlie. Hopefully the early spring doesn't literally burn you guys later in the year. I think back to my brief visit to SLC. Speaking to a local there about the mild weather, she said it'll probably be bad news in the summer. Still cold and un-green here... though the snow melted. Two years ago we had an early spring.

I thought it might go furnace like last summer as July temps soared to new records, but instead we moved into a crazy cycle of super extreme thunder storms which often lit fires and put them out.

Locally we have had two megafires since 2007, which have created a huge firebreak upwind of the town. In fact, vast sections of idaho forests have been consumed in this time for hundreds of miles around, in other massive fires. Sad to say these are unprecedented for thousands of years and combined with the even worse effects of the beetles and fungus, the idaho forests will not recover to the productivity of the 1950s, 60s and 70s, for millennia . At least that is the opinion of many who study the area closely.
I like what I'm seeing, Edward! The nearer distance portraits have a very pleasing presence and I really like the second of the second set, too.

Thanks Ron, nice colors in your recent sets. Reminds me of that deceptively cold sun I feared so much back when I lived in Toronto.
Edward - I am really liking the rendering from the 35/1.4 I'm actually hoping that the FE version is similar, since I plan on picking one up. Particularly like the rendering in your head in trees pictures and the headless statue with the magnolia necklace on its lap.. Also like the interesting subject matter you managed to capture.
At least that is the opinion of many who study the area closely.
