Beautiful shots as always Thomas. Great colours and sharpness. Seems that there are a lot of friendly people. Not sure whether such images would be possible here.
Yes,agree, thanks again Thomas, your stuff I see here is one reason I bought a Summicron-R myself.
Rolf, India is a paradise for photographers, and yes, the people feel very comfortable in their own skin and in their culture. And they are not disturbed in the slightest at having their photograph taken. It also helps that seemingly they are unfailingly photogenic! Hindu culture in particular is very open and lived in public space. Recommended if you get the chance to go.
Thank you!! Incredible, it's near mint, except the top part at the filter thread there is a bump essentially making hood/filter mounting difficult..but that was advertised. I seriously expected worse condition but it looks gorgeous!
Now, the most difficult part - to wait for adaptor to arrive!!..
Old pic. Someday I'll buy another one and use it on full frame (either shaving the mirror or the shroud).
"The lens that got me hooked on manual glass". Leica R 2.8/28 E55 on 20D:
Today I paid for a Leica "R" 60mm/2.8 Macro, and ordered a Fotodiox focus confirm adapter for EOS. It is an older design lens with Frankenstein lugs on the barrel for lens hood, which I am sure is unneeded with the elements sunk so deep in the barrel. Has has the ROM contacts added and been well taken care of.
I won't get it for over a week due to my schedule and shipping, but I'm looking forward to my first Leica lens!
