The artisans photo of PeterGlaso for me is an excellent example of "Leica realism". Sometimes I regret having sold the 50 summicron...

Very skillful and artistic shooting. That last shot is wonderful.
What aperture were you shooting at?
I have an old copy of this lens, and it's a keeper, but I have never
achieved this level of sharpness. I think your lighting is a large part of it.
Your flower shot is spectacular, and I think the lighting is again what makes it great.
Kudos to the very fine Leica color response, however.

The portrait was taken at 5.6, natural light coming from large windows opposite of her face. Standard sharpening values in Lightroom (25) + resize sharpening only in Photoshop.
I also like the animal portraits, and have less problems with the bokeh. It is typical for mirror-lenses, but much less intrusive than the 500mm Nikkor I once had.

Leica M 35mm/E39 lens hoods through the ages. Taken by 1Ds and Apo-Telyt 280/4 @ f/16. Despite the small aperture, I couldn't get sufficient DOF, so image is focus stacked (two images, manually). Focus adjustment was slight, but the field "breathes" due to internal-focus design, so I had to resize one frame.
the picture of the flying fox is simply marvellous. It has a surrealistic atmosphere about it. The other two are great too, but #2 is outstanding. The bokeh in #1 & #3 is very pleasing, at least to my eyes.
Another brilliant thread for leicas...side plug: I'm a moderator for another photo forum and one of the local members on there is trying to sell some Leica-R stuff (elmarit 90, cron 50, elmarit 35) and bunch of other stuff (Sony/Minolta) to move to medium format.. if you would like the link LMK.
