im happy to see some landscape pictures with the VS 35-70!
i have found two good examples of that lens here in italy, one for 200E. other for 250E treatable,is a good price?
i bought a c/y planar 50 1.4, nowi think to buy one 35-70 to add to my planar 100 f2

200-250 euros is a very good price for the 35-70. I've had some problems with two copies that I bought though (one was hanging the mirror and didn't reach infinity, one had a broken screw on the mount).

Enjoy your Planar 50/1.4; I love mine.

Definitely. It should make a great addition to your 100/2 for wider and stopped down shooting. In fact, that would make a great two-lens kit for landscape unless wou're into UWAs.

I'm beginning to really like this Zeiss 85/2.8 Sonnar. I think I'll keep her.

^ Nice shots, I'm enjoying mine.

Here's my recently acquired 28 f/2.8 - sharpest wide angle I've ever used. f/4 on a 5d...

Great, Michael! I've been using my 28/2.8 outdoors a lot and love it.

^ - thanks, I can't believe how sharp it is. I took a test shot wide open and was shocked to see corners that weren't mushy!

Got a chance to shoot my C/Y Zeiss 80-200mm today. It reminds me of a weaker 35-70 in rendering (contrast, fine detail, saturation) and that's not a bad thing. Still a strong lens. Shot it mostly at F8 or F5.6

Great shots everyone!
Michael49 – nice examples with the CZJ 35 f/2.5. I have one currently en route with high hopes it will replace my Mamiya 35 3.5.

Flashinm and FlyPenFly – nice pics with the Vario Sonnar 80-200. I’ve had mine for almost a year now and it has a permanent place in my bag. Love that lens!

Here are some last weekend pics with my 80-200 – as we were down in NYC for a long weekend. I believe all three were taken at f/4.

Thanks.

Its not the sharpest lens at the edges, but its plenty sharp in the center. I'm willing to give up some edge sharpness for its impressive MFD. f/4 on a 5d...

More play with the 80-200 Zeiss. I'll be posting some Helios 44M-7 later as well.

The bokeh is lively.

Dave -- Beautiful shots of NYC with your 80-200. Really amazing if those are f/4 -- would you mind checking?

I guess I'll have to break mine out again after these.

Gunzorro - Thanks. The first two from top of Empire State Building I'm sure were taken at f/4. As for the one in Times Square - probably. (As you know - no EXIF.) In any case I shoot at f/4 quite often (especially for portraits) and am very happy with the results...and vignetting is super easy to correct in ACR.

Dave -- Thanks! Really excellent work.

Yes, I know what you mean about the nuisance of no exif info on exposure, or especially aperture. I've done a lot of aperture studies on a lens, and have to reconstruct what I did as I view in LR. Oh well. It keeps the prices down!
