Indeed. But the bokeh is more developed in the 28, perhaps a function of the focal length. The lower contrast of the 28 reminds me, albeit to a lesser extent, of the way the Leica R 28 Elmarit v.2 draws. This characteristic is less typical of Nikkors in general and perhaps accounts for its tendency to define details lost in shadows better. Also, the 24 might have ever-so-slightly less distortion.

In a moment of weakness a few weeks back, I found one of these lenses for the right price and snatched it up quickly. It didn't take long to realize that it really is as good as everyone here says it is!
