Love this shot Keith. Absolutely beautiful. And please accept my apology on spelling your name incorrectly earlier.

Thanks Ron - and don't worry about the spelling mistake: it happens all the time and to be honest I was messing with you when I came across as miffed about it!

Here's a valentine for my 7D!

24-70, 7D, window light.

I wanted WHITE to be WHITE and BLACK to be BLACK. In print, yowza, it looks stunning.

Lots of nice photos in this thread! I've only had my 7D about a week and a half. The 7D is my first DSLR, so I'm learning. Here's one shot that I took Saturday morning.

More amazing shots from everyone. Ben, that last picture is superb!

Hersch, that's a great demonstration of what spot AF can do. I think it's a great feature to have.

Matt, beautiful shot!

Robert, I bet the print from that image is stunning!

Bev, congrats on picking a phenomenal camera for your 1st one...spend a lot of time reading the manual!

Used the 7D the other day on a little photoshoot... where it was heavily overcast. As the good-old MC Hammer would perhaps say "Stop. High ISO-time!"

I wish the weather was better, but I'm glad to see the AF keeps on working admirably, and the high-ISO shots weren't too shabby either!

Here are some shots, click for larger possible sizes.
ISO-3200

ISO-6400:

If you want to view the entire album, you can check out: http://pix.ie/hask/album/368549

I've also uploaded two video's that I shot in 720p @ 60fps. You can view those here (nothing professional, but something that's representative of what the "average Joe" might get with it):

For the rest, I can only say that I'm extremely happy with the camera!

Gee, Paul, have you considered sending in your camera and lenses for calibration? That image is not sharp at the pixel level...

Well... actually, I have not updated my other thread about the focus problems I am having with my 7D and 100-400. The body & lens went in together, then the lens went back by itself, then they both went in together again. The bloody combo still can't autofocus reliably at 100mm and at infinity (i.e., long subject distances). I'm taking a break, then may send the lens in again after the eagle season winds down and the soon-to-return great blue herons are obscured by new leaves on trees.

That said, when doing these ISS shots, the (manual) focus can be hit-or-miss, and atmospheric seeing conditions are important too, as well as the shooter's tracking. I have done better before with the 50D and same glass, so hopefully I can top this someday.

Thanks Robert, that's another nice thing about the 7D...you're timing can be a little off and still get the shot.
