Well with my new D700 coming next week, I thought I'd post this thread, for all you FF owners to share those High iso shots. I'm tacking 3200 and up Let the sharing begin
You most defiitely will like the D700 for low-light/high ISO shots. I've had mine for only 3 weeks. I shoot quite a few community concerts (voluntary) - mainly youth choirs, and the D700 high iso performance will cut down on my post processing time. Here's an example ... (not related to the young lady)
1/250th 4.8 ISO 6400 with 70-200. Converted in DXO - no other post processing other than crop/resize

In some ways, seeing the outrageous shots here makes me feel more like waiting for the next generation to fully emerge. What will be possible with it will probably make everyone's jaw drop.

Hopefully they won't get to slap happy as Canon has done by cramming more of the say sensor.

This as an oooops. D2X isnt known for it's High ISO capabilitys..I went out shootinwith the ISO at well above 800.....making lemonaid out of lemons....I ended up with this after noise reduction.
I was impressed with some ISO 1600 shots that I had taken at the airport a few weeks ago. These are incredible though, makes me want a D700. Anyone want to trade a D700 for a D80?
