The thread that won't die!!!! A pretty amusing read at the end of each day fo sho!

I think if Serg hadn't posted the 3rd pic this would have been a quick to end thread. As far as an art style shot goes it's a winner, for the kid on the curb. As far as a keeper for the young man, not so much. I still like to look at it though.

The rest of the series is artistic, different and reflects the mood of the senior. Sweet as.

OK - I just wasted 30 minutes of my day reading this thread. So why not chime in.

1) OMG. What a major step in the wrong direction this forum is taking. Can you say DPR?

2) I am amazed by several things I read here (and disappointed by more), but the main thing I see here is that prof fate has an amazing resiliency to some of the less friendly comments thrown at him, especially the guy(?) who keeps going to his website and throwing stuff on this thread. BTW, I thought that one vowed to quit FM sometime in the recent past (insert whining noise of your choice here); too bad he didnt keep that promise.

3) Serg's photos are pretty cool. He is and will continue to be successful. Way to go Serg!

and finally,

4) A good businessman with local knowledge of his market can make a good living at photography. Way to go prof fate!

So did I really need to read all this to learn that?? Probably not - but keep having at it guys. I'm kind of bored with it now, so I'm out...

Prof_fate, could you share any glamour photos you might have?

Refer to previous posts. Consider what you're asking for.

so..

a) Prof_fate does not care that the OP sells pictures, beacause they suck.

b) Prof_fate ignores all critique of his photography, beacause he sell.

Am I the only one seeing the quite basic logical fallacy here? prof? professor? hardly.

With Sergio I am kind of half love - half don't, The shot with the butcher watching the two kids is killer, the homeless person shot, not so much.
But prof_fate, you should stop posting pics. After seeing them, I don't think anyone is listening anymore.

Hi! I like to complain about something, and then immediately after do the exact thing I'm complaining about!

PM me if you have that big of a problem. I know how irrelevant (re: perfectly relevant) it is to show poster not backing what they're saying (how dare someone's Internets be posted on...the Internets..?).

Perhaps this fits some folks idea of art?

All I'm saying is learn and grow.
Here is your basic youth T&I photo. Is it art? Hell no.
http://www.pbase.com/cpphotography/image/96830418.jpg

This was the next round of youth T&I shots I did. Is this art? It's a damn site closer.

Education advances one's abilities, one's art.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess one question might be since serg and I both have people paying for picture, he for strange bums and me for what, I guess girls in sewers, whose the weird one? One of us or the people that give us their money to do it?

--------------------------------------------------------------------
define success: making a living off your photography or getting 10 "atta boy's" from folks on FM?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

What is everyone seeing as over PP?

The color cast? Back in the day, you could do this with film. It was called 'cross processing'. Just because digital shooters can no longer do it, it can't be done?

The strange DOF? Has nobody noticed that he used a 45mm TS?

I've seen a lot more mangling in Photoshop than this.

Asked for an unbiased opinion from pretty hip stylish late teen and mid 20's girls. You know the ones with the I phones' constant vitamin water bottles and the petite diamond in their noses with all black died hair what they thought of OP shots. First reply" what happen to the color" Second reply " Id ask for my money back " 3rd reply "they look boring" fouth reply with the bum in the shot "huh" fifth reply " Mybe ok for a magazine shot". Others did not respond verbaly just kinda laughed with a sneer.. Just the messenger.
