It looks like the word painted in the star is not INRI (from the Latin for "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" - the inscription which Pontius Pilate placed on the cross above Jesus at His crucifixion), but instead it looks like the Hebrew word for God's Name. In the Latin alphabet the letters are YHWH (written right to left in Hebrew) and it is believed to be pronounced Yahweh, though members of the Jewish religion don't pronounce the name for fear of breaking the Second Commandment.
I apologize for going off topic for a moment, but just for your information, YHWH is the Name that God revealed to Moses from the burning bush. INRI and YHWH are similar to Christians because we believe that Jesus is YHWH and reigns as King over all, though the names have different connotations. This is why you sometimes see the Hebrew name for God depicted in Christian churches.
