p.1 #1 · The Pacific Flyway (15)

Hi all - It's been a while since I've posted, but I am happy to be back! It's migration season along the Pacific Flyway. I spent two days just before the new year at the Sacramento and Colusa National Wildlife Reserves, as well as some time in District 10 hunting for tundra swans. The bird viewing was over-the-top extraordinary. It was amazing to see hundreds of thousands of snow geese and white-fronted geese, as well as tundra swans (a favorite species of mine), dozens of raptors, and thousands of ducks and other water birds. Comments and critiques appreciated, as always!

Aaaaaaaaah, Grasshopper, so young, so many questions.......

I have been many places, and will go many more. I leave very often, but I always come back.

And no, I have seen no burrowing owls. But, Grasshopper, the real question is -- have you??

Beautiful Sue!

#10 in particular really grabs me... For a moment I though that I should be looking for the horizon line where the reflections of the geese would be found... I did not find it

The meadowlark has some lovely detail as well. I had not appreciated their feathers fully until now.

Thanks for sharing, keep having fun with it!

Very cool series here Susan... I really like your vision for these images.

Nice Hallmark moment in #2... beautiful.
Very nice pose and exposure on the hawk.
Excellent low angle and eye contact on the Meadowlark.
Love 9, 10, and 15 too.

Very well done.

Now that's what I call an FM_NorCal birding "excellent adventure"
Nice to know you didn't have to go to Bosque to get these....
.....you didn't go south to get any cranes? or are you keeping them for the next thread?
Did you see any Blue Morph geese families?
I also love the swans and "you da Best"
I think you choreographed #2.... Wow you got some powers GF
Happy New Year to you.
Glad you brought out The Grasshopper

in gratitude,
Nelcha
