If I had to pick three favorites they would be 1, 2, 9, but these are all super Sue! Those two Tundra are special
I'll bet you were thrilled on this trip, sounds like heaven
Happy New Year!

Awesome collection of photographic images Susan! A lot of different looks and feels to these, going with 2 and 3 as my personal favorites. Good to see you posting a few!

Great series. Well done.
I think no.3 is a Red-shouldered Hawk and not a Red-tailed Hawk. The Red-tail would have a "belly-band" of darker feathers across the lower breast.
Norm
Thanks so very much, Norm, especially for the corrected ID! I am a pathetic birder.......

Susan, you have produced very nice images here!!! I really enjoy the subtleness of the swans together in photo #2!!! That is a lovely image. The RTH in Photo #3 is very nice, and I enjoy the vibrant colors there a lot!!! Photo #5 is wonderful!!! The trees add an interesting perspective to the image!!! Great work!!!
Thank you, Brenton - really appreciate your detailed comments. I have to say that I had fun with #5 - I like its funkiness.... Multo thanks!

Great series Sue! Nice to have you stop by and grace us with these images. Quite the range here. 10 brings back memories of driving up the Central Valley during the migration and seeing 10's of thousands of birds flying. A wonderful sight indeed, thanks for the memory. Love the foggy swan shots.
Tim
Hey Tim, many thanks for the kind words! Glad to bring some good memories back home for you.

Really stunning shots. Wow. The swans in the fog are special. My other top picks: meadowlark, #9 (snow geese), #10 (thousands..), #12 (white-fronted) and the peregrine. Wonderful shooting.
Hoo boy, nice selection of shots. I really like these for the colors and the geometry (others might call it composition ), plus you definitely caught some magic moments. Great work.
Amazing Images. I LOVE the images of the tundra swans.
Every time I see those things I mistake them for trumpeter swans. I actually had to google the difference, and in case you were curious, the tundra swans are a bit smaller and have a yellow spot on their beaks. I am sure you knew that though as you correctly identified them.
