Hey Ed, thanks for your picks!!! I've been too gosh-darn busy lately. Gotta get the shutter finger limbered up, and spend more time here looking at everyone's great shots. Happy New Year!

Now that's what I call an FM_NorCal birding "excellent adventure"
Nice to know you didn't have to go to Bosque to get these....
.....you didn't go south to get any cranes? or are you keeping them for the next thread?
Did you see any Blue Morph geese families?
I also love the swans and "you da Best"
I think you choreographed #2.... Wow you got some powers GF
Happy New Year to you.
Glad you brought out The Grasshopper
in gratitude,
Nelcha
Helllllooooooooo my dear Nelcha! You'd love the swans - go if you can. Missed the cranes although we did get directions from the lovely folks at the main reserve. And yes, we did see some blue morphs - they're all mixed together -- but still way cool.
Happy New Year, my dear!
Susan
Great series Sue! Nice to have you stop by and grace us with these images. Quite the range here. 10 brings back memories of driving up the Central Valley during the migration and seeing 10's of thousands of birds flying. A wonderful sight indeed, thanks for the memory. Love the foggy swan shots.
Awesome, Susan!!
I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous. ("bird viewing was over-the-top extraordinary") I have seen 4 ducks in a month! !
Terrific series as usual---your special touch shines right through.

Susan,
Incredible series!
I really love the mood in the Tundra Swans. The Meadowlark is awesome - doesn't even need a perch. Composition on #10 is sweet also. Always look forward to seeing what you have to post. Thanks for sharing them with us.
JayT
Thanks Jay - the meadowlark felt like a great bonus - thanks for the kind words!

Beautiful shots, Susan. I find the foggy ones particularly appealing.
Your hawk is a Red-shouldered - check the bands on the tail and breast/belly pattern.
Cheers,

Thanks Larry -- I am a crummy birder, that's for sure!!!!

Susan who Hello there young lady and so nice to see you visiting
I can tell the tundra's are your favorite, those are some nice tender and pleasing fog shots. #9 sets with me nicely, and #15 I like the play on DOF.
A very Happy New Years wish to you Susan!
Hey there Karl -- blast from the past, or what? Thanks for your note - you're right, I'm a sucker for the swans. Happy New Year right back atcha!!
Susan
Sue --- I really like the shots through the brush and fog, and the silhouettes. I can feel the damp chill of the Valley winter and tule fog. Nice --- John
