For that new IQ and resolution, it better be an "L". I'd prefer to have 1-3 very good lenses, to having lots of not so good ones. You'll be able to keep it for a while.

If it is really 24MP I think the current 24-70L is out of a job as a general workhorse...

This looks more and more like the Sony alpha900. Just replace in-body IS by liveview and video.

The Images on the "Destined Evolution" teaser site are definitely getting brighter and the clouds have moved off and the word Canon is visible now.

Yeah .... at the rate the "Destined Evolution" camera is being revealed we would be lucky if this camera sees daylight by September of 2009!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that's the "5D type" replacement, plus it's sporting a 50 1.2L in that image.

I guess I'll find out how off-base this might be, in a few days
