I'm not exactly sure how this thread works, but it looks like I'm supposed to quote someone, spit out a bunch of nonsense, and then hope that nonsense makes someone else mad so they quote me? Well, let's give it a shot and quote Ralph since he looks like an easy target...
I don't know how stupid James is, but because they had IQ. Its success. Konika and Minolta where never interested in their customers needs. My issue is IQ. Canon is best in it. Nothing else. Punch babies. Eat kittens. "There is no problem!" If I would have been Canon I would have solved the problem, with my fist in a babies face. Canon never thought about. For steeling my customers time. People are customers. Nothing else. If japan would be japan like it was 50 years ago, there would be big boom. Today they just learned. You opened my eyes, to a cream surprise.

I could agree with everything you said, I just didn't like the marked word. There is no reason for a "but" here. It's like you said, though it doesn't have a lot to do with the freedom of speech, but Fred's rules in the first place. I try to obey them and have EOSfun! Nothing more nothing less! Please, back to the rumors (or knowledge if you are into it )
So even if many FM members say they are much annoyed by your "EOSfun" as long as it complies with the rules you don't care right? Imagine I am playing the drums in your backyard for hours every evening until 9:59:59 PM. I am for sure annoying you (I am such a bad drummer) but I comply with the rules/laws so I would have the right to turn you around every time. Would you like it?

I admit I am a kind of silly German and I have a universal mother in law, who is probably my biggest EOSFAN, since she likes the coolpix of our kids, who I also capture with my EOSes.

So where are these EosFun pictures? I don't believe I've ever seen you post one here. Do you have a website?
eosfun wrote:
Sure Jeff, I understand your curiosity. But indeed I do not post pictures of any kind, professional nor private under this alias. Have EOSfun!
Jeff wrote:
That's a shame. Why not? Doesn't seem to be in the spirit of EOSfun!

Agree, I owe you an explanation why. Not all members here are always as friendly as most FM members. As a member with an opinion it could harm my business maybe even my private life if some mad guy wants to. Trust me I speak from experience. Let's have EOSfun without my pictures but including my comments...Show more →
And where does your experience come from? DPR? I'm out too, this is not serious I guess

Maybe not him. But me. I like the idea. Best is "I am such a bad drummer!"
And the idea of Canada as Netherlands backyard is nice. Use it. Your right. I guess, you have to be a loud drummer, too.

You know, as I suggested before, it's not the fact that one person let's one slip in the elevator. Even if it's the same person everyday, one could just assume they have a GI problem and ignore it as their own little personal demon. Even if they smiled or chuckled a bit after doing so, I could still write it off as someone just being the person they need to be to get along in the world.
The real problem begins when (as a result of the first farter) others join in farting left and right in the elevator. To make matters worse, they then resort to debating said flatulation. Then fights erupt. Feelings are scored. Heads hang low departing the elevator (assuming one gets out alive).
So which aspect is the most worrisome? The original farter? The 'me-too' farters? Or the people who sit around at work all day and debate farting in elevators?
I don't know the answer, all I know is that it smells around here! ...Show more →
A post truly worthy of a former moderator.
Brilliantly put.
Wow .... it's looking better and better! New battery and new integrated grip? All good, I guess. 24mp is a little scary though .... but heck, logic dictates that if they can get it right with the 1Ds III then it follows that 24mp with the new Digic IV will be even better.

I do not own a 5D so I can not answer your question.
But of course I am missing some information.
IQ (I guess its great) ISO range/performing (lets say is not said), sealing, AF, framerate, shutter life cycle.

Did some research about the net and think I have some good info... Or it might just be a bunch of crap...
it'll shoot at 20fps, have a 48x36mm sensor with 50Mpx and totally noiseless ISO 25600, use brain-controlled 3,000 point AF (via the new cortical implant firmware upgrade), and use only Canon's new LLL (triple-L) lenses with red, gold and green stripes on the barrel, first model of which will be the uptown top ranking 10-500mm f/0.75 zoom (tripod collar and hood extra). It will have quadruple liquid-nitrogen-cooled DigicV processing with an optional refrigerant recirculating battery grip. The "order pizza", and "call Spock" functions will of course be standard. Spock thinks it's illogical to have EOSfun and will nerve pinch who attempts to have fun of any sort.... it has 2 pop up flashes yes 2, one pointed at subject and another in the viewfinder, why should only one of you see spots... unfortunately it is not weather sealed either... You may recognize the photo, it was apparently just the wrong model but a valid photo... At least that is the rumor
And people will still take crappy photos of their dog with it.
99% of the above post is stolen but I thought it was funny so I spiced it up a bit for thread...Show more →
You can see the obvious changes : the moon is brighter, the light now hits on the lens. The Japanese is also changed, anyone can translate the new text?
When I increased the level on PS, I can see the word EOS...
Can't wait to see more changes!
Any Japanese speaking members around? I only know 3 Kenji in that text... it says something like "Deep XXX secret XXXX....."
If they bring out a 24 Megapixel 5D2 I'm wondering if all of our existing lenses are going to be up to the job. Mine are all fine at 10 MP (on my 40D crop) , but I have no idea what they'll look like at 24 MP and full frame.
Personally I'm not interested at all in 24MP -- it's a little sad that this has become the showcase of new cameras. Still, let's see how the high-ISO performance and AF is (which are two of the primary concerns over the original IMO).
