Well, adjusting levels on the image shows it has a dial on top and not weather sealed buttons like the 1 series. Bummer. Still can't tell if it is a full sized body or not, maybe when they've added a bit more light to the flash video.

How can you tell the buttons aren't weather sealed?
Might be buttons are easier to seal than a dial.
Looks like it's not a 1D sized body (which is good as far as I'm concerned) because I don't see the reflection of light on the left side running further down. I think the greenish blurb is protecting the slogan. The lens looks to me like an "ordinary" 85L. All in all: it could have been your 3 year old 5D with your two year old lens

I for one am quite happy to see that, b/c it indicates that Canon will price this body below the D700 (more MP, reduced pro features). I am betting a $2500 price point. Provided it can hit 5fps, this body will be pushing my not-weather-sealed buttons in a big way.

I guess I'll find out how off-base this might be, in a few days
Canons press conference is at 6 AM on the 17th here in Sweden. That's 1 PM in Japan, 4 AM UTC and it should be midnight in New York (not sure if you use summer time or not).
I was folowing this thread since page 32. I just registered as I loved so much.
Nothing else. Just waiting and looking everyday in the morning for the NEWS.

Re: weather sealing... this is from the warehouseexpress.com (p)review of the 50D.
Apparently, the UK measures its rainfall on a scale of 1 to 16 (or something like that), with 1 being a light drizzle and 16 being a torrential downpour. The "Environmental Protection" on the Canon EOS 50D means that the camera can resist level 10 (10mm per hour) for 3 minutes before getting too wet to work and popping inside for a cup of tea. However, because the Tokyo met office use the same scale, but theirs goes all the way to 80 (at which stage animals start pairing up and boarding boats) the official statement from Canon is that the EOS 50D's wet weather limit is "light rain". This is still a great advance, as it means you don't need to worry if the Canon EOS 50D digital SLR is exposed to a few drops of the wet stuff, and in all probability, you will want to get out of the rain before the camera needs to.
