Me, myself and I do agree there are a few people above with no personality at all. I find it even worse some of them are asking for suppression filters. Since that one came from a German member I can't deny my first reaction was a memory to my grandfather and the primary thought: some will never learn. Mr. Schmidt, take an example to your fellow German member Ralph. He is polite(German hoefllichkeit), often EOSfunny, he knows what he is talking about, has a very profesional gallery and always is in a good mood here in the forum. This is also a good recommandation to other sour members that lack the real EOSfun.
BTW, did anyone notice we just passed the 100.000 clicks on this thread? That's more than the old 5D shutter on average could stand. That is not a rumor but a matter of fact!
He obviously was sarcastic. A CF card slot is what the camera at the moment has and makes the built in memory exchangeable. Some forget to add smileys, so others don't get the EOSfun in a post you see?
BTW Another feature came to my mind that would also push the next camera way ahead to the 700D. A Nikon mount. This would open the world of EOSfun to all Nikon owners (I know it's not gonna happen )

Maybe the release of the new 5D is somehow connected with the large hadron collider (LHC)? It should start working on wednesday, so thats the day that 5DII will be announced!!!
Canon better hurry cuz they said that mad scientist may cause black holes and quasars on earth....

So while it may be annoying, ridiculous and absolutely pointless - it represents a diseased mind in the poster so most people overlook it and tolerate it.
It could also be a subtle trolling method that the forum apparently can live with....
Look out townsfolk, there's a new troll in town!
I personally think it is a little silly, but completely harmless and so I don't worry about it - there are many more important things in life to get uptight about. As mentioned, those 2 show nothing but courtesy and good natured ribbing - which seems to rub you the wrong way. You might be better off patrolling dpreview or some other place where you're observations would be more "appreciated".
Thanks Jeff - awesome. Been waiting for one of these, literally for years. This kind of heads-up is another reason why I come here. You rock. Now I don't have to think so hard about the D700 v 7D dilemma. I am just about to order the eosfun version.
You are quite correct on this. The government in the UK does take 17.5% VAT - bastards! I think most of it is going on the defense budget at present, its all those US helicopters we keep buying!
I thought it was to pay for speed cameras and to keep the beer so warm.

The Sunpak RD 2000 is very much like the Nikon SB-400. The Nikon version is actually lighter. What I would like to see is something that is half the size of the SB-400 or RD2000. I am sure a mini flash to be used a substitute built-in flash could sell really well.

No, it's not smaller but it has a tiltable head.
The RD2000 has a tiltable head as well. Since it's smaller, it's probably a better choice. The only disadvantage is that it might be too close to the axis of some lenses to prevent redeye.
