Obviously I'm not as smart as you, if my FS thread is so ridiculous why do you feel the need to make it even more ridiculous by peeing all over my thread?
I think the lesson here is to never engage in hyperbole - if you do, it'll be the worst thing you'll ever have done in your whole entire life, or anyone else's, in the history of the world!! :-)

nah....it's no big deal, even if someone end up buying it, the $100 extra that I made from this sale will be burn off within 1 week in my commute to work. Either way, I ain't going to lose sleep over it.
This thread needs to be deleted. The seller over-reached on their initial description, but it doesn't call for the moron attack he is getting here. I have seen other sellers make similar claims here when selling a lens. The seller did provide some 100% crop to let a potential buyer decide for themself.
MODS: Why not delete this thread and restore some sanity to the B&S board? The seller can repost the lens for sale, and you can keep this from happening again. I'd have to believe that Fred isn't aware of this thread because he would have taken care of this long ago.
By all means go to Amazon or any other place that offers free exchanges. They will send you out a replacement that someone else sent back

There is another 100-400L is still up for sale by someone else, it is "Barely 90 days old!" and "never used", only going for $1250....that's a kick ass deal! I suggest those who need a lens in this range jump all over that one, it's dirt cheap in comparison to mine.
Ok, i ate my words and changed all the wording, so...now I have the softest and suckest junk lens for sale, unfortunately it is in such bad condition that I have no choice but to keep sticking with my asking price. But for the sake of keeping the B&S section clean, I think the best thing for me to do is to completely retract this sales altogether. I hope this will please many people here, as they have already shown their true colors, and I apologize if my sales offended anyone in any form or way, I guess I'll just leave it at that, if anyone else is interested in this lens please contact me via PM. Buy, not buy, no matter, atleast we all have one thing in common....we all love photography!
The point in my mind was never about price but ethics.
Putting myself in the same shoes I would have offered it at competitive rates with others for sale and passed on a great copy with no extra charge involved to one of my fellow FMers knowing that the favor would be returned some day instead of trying to capitalize and turn a profit.
