Beautiful flower shots Dmitry! Congrats on the conversion. Well done.
Is the AR 57 as sharp wide open as the Rokkor 58? What's your impressions?
Bokeh, is wonderfully smooth.
Just snapped a few shots on my camera store's 5D with my new OM 50/1.2. Having had the OM 55/1.2 I have to say I am MUCH happier with this lens. It is faster and MUCH sharper:
Nate the bokeh on that is crazy, looks like a thumb print in some spots.
Here is some from the Canon FL 55/1.2
wide open. I like it lots. just enough definition to give the eye lots to examine without being distracting.
Pity about the glow on the highlights wide open, next week I will paint the mount black. shooting at f1.4 kills a lot of the glow and sharpens things up nicely.
Now a shot at f2 for comparison: creamy smooth and very sharp.
Here are some minimum focusing distance shots taken with the Leica 90AA, it is said that this lens is no good at MFD, I would say it is far from optimal but still ok. The first two at ISO3200, the third at ISO1250, and the last at ISO200 on 5D Mark II. All taken wide open while walking my dog after sunset.
Dan! Every time I forget your first name I look in your profile to no avail I love the Nikkor - it is currently my most used lens. And it gives spectacular, interesting bokeh for such a wide lens:
I absolutely love that...
this lens is looking pretty attractive to me right now. I should hurry along with my FD 35/2 and Hexanon 35/2 conversions and see if they are good enough to satisfy me after seeing all these nikkor pics ;]
I like the shot of the computer next to the fence as well I think your images speak volumes about your processing capabilities as well as your photographic technique and lens selection.
