Andre nice series again, but i may explain about fd 85 1.2L - for this type of photo (defocused spotlights) this lens is not the best choice (fd 50 1.2L as well) - you may wonder what are those internal rings (looks like onion) - it is aspherical surface. from mine observation the worst case is with canon ef 50 1.0L,
Thanks Really, thatīs interesting. Never even noticed - I would have thought the "texture" came from the glass I was shooting through or the highlights themselves. But they donīt bother me much. They are not anywhere near as severe "defects" as shooting with mirror lenses or anything like that....
Thanks Andre, from mine experience from this lense so far, i could say it is more like fd 85 1.2ssc asph only the focal distance is more universal 57mm - it has creamier bokeh then rokkor wideopen and has very low field curvature, great sharpness wideopen and it is quite big 62mm filter size (by the way i think this is the first time when you could see this lense on FF digital body) http://album.foto.ru:8080/photos/pr2/41852/487680.jpg
(i will receive in few days Oly zuiko 50 1.2 which has 49 mm filter size and i think it is the smallest 50 1.2 lens and soon i will make the new shootout with the next lenses
rokkor 58 1.2
rokkor md 50 1.2
fd canon 50 1.2L
konica ar 57 1.2
oly zuiko 50 1.2
oly zuiko 55 1.2
ef canon 50 1.2L
nikon noct-nikkor 58 1.2
Soon i will show some snaps from Konica AR 85 1.8 and Konica AR 135mm f2.5 - actualy now i am a fan of these Konica Hexanons AR lenses and their creamy drawing concept, maybe except 40 1.8 (which i will convert soon as well).
Yes this lens is the hardest to convert because it protrudes inside the mirror box quite deep and that is why you have issues with mirror (i doubt it could be converted and use it with canon crop bodies, the mirror box there is even smaller).
overdal73 - Thanks for the feedback. It is amazing that this lens gets very busy with point light sources because of the distinct aperture shape. However point it at something that does not have such light sources and its amazingly creamy.
