Dan, Max - thank you !

This lens is so small and lightweight. Carrying a 5d2 over my shoulder all day, it is a wonderful tool. I have tried pre-ai versions of this lens as well as a host of other 35s - Leica, Contax, Oly, Canon L, non L... This is my favorite.

Also I would like to show off another lens I was shooting with for a few days. The Oly 55/1.2. It can give crazy and smooth bokeh, depending on what you shoot.
Actually I find it kind of similar to the 35AIs that way.

5d2, olympus 55/1.2:

Had fun orienting myself to get a nice background...nothing alternative about the gear, but thought it fit the thread's idea...

André, your black and white Noct Nikkor images (p42, post5) made me return twice. I liked them quite a lot.
Regards, /Jonas

Sure it was taken at f/1.4? Dosn't look like it ...

Finally got my adapters in the mail today and got a chance to test out my new lenses around the yard. The only 2 lenses I have for my 5D now are a Pentax Super-Multi-Coated 55mm F/1.8, and a Nikon 28mm F/2. Good enough for now.
The 28mm is awesome, very sharp wide open, puts my 24-70L to shame, plus the MFD is really close which I love. The 55mm is great too, sharper than my canon 50 1.4 was, and has better bokeh. The focusing should also be mentioned as well, since it's as smooth as butter. Focusing with these lenses is damn easy now that I've got my EE-S screen and DK-17m as well, I would highly recommend this setup for a 5D.

Here's some pics with the 28mm, all wide open.

And some taken with the 55mm, both wide open as well.

I really like the first photo of the wood logs

I think you are right the previous picture with the Planar 50mm is at 2.0. I thought I took this photo at 1.4 but looking at the bokeh it’s clearly not wide open.

This one is wide open Planar 50mm/1.4 on a Pentax K100Ds

@Kamik: Wow, I'm impressed by the bokeh (and sharpness!) of your Nikkor 28/2.0! Looks better than my Vivitar 28/2.0, which has glow wideopen and freaky bokeh sometimes.

Hate to re-use a subject but I love these berries for bokeh, Leica 35 summicron-R wide open.

Hey Jonas, awesome thread you've started here! Great idea with the index. Do you still have the 50 Cron and 80 Lux?

Anyway, I have recently started collecting Contax 645 bits, and also added a Hasselblad FE 110mm f2 T* for portrait duty, but liked the lens so much I also added an older Hasselblad 2000FC/M, and now I am shooting with it and Tri-X. Here is my first test shot, at the near limit. The subject matter is an ancient Voigtländer slide projector, for 2 slides at a time! I scanned it on an Epson V750 with Epson Scan, resulting in a 25MP image of 82MB!

http://throughthelensdarkly.com/forums/H2000-110-001.jpg

I think this is the first lens I enjoy as much as the 80 Lux, but focusing on the 2000FC/M (with Acute Matte screen) is more enjoyable than with the 5D and Ee-S. I have the 75 Lux for my M8, but it is too sharp, and misses some of the magic due to this, and due to the slight crop factor. I really need a Noctilux!

@AhamB: I'm really impressed by its performance too. I knew it was a good lens, didn't know it was going to be this good though. Hell, one of the main reasons I bought the lens was because of this thread and a few shots I saw taken with it by TWoK, haha.
Here's a new one from my 5D + Nikon 28mm F/2.0 combo
Shot was taken wide open at the MFD.
