Silverfast should support the 5400 on XP and OS X 10.3.x and possibly 10.4. Vista, Win7 and OS X 10.5 or newer require Vuescan as it includes its own drivers for scanners without updated USB drivers.
For spotting, I find the mouse better than my tablet, but I prefer the tablet for most other selection work. The scrollwheel is the key to the mouse for spotting, zoom in to 100% and scroll down in sections while spotting.
And here's something semi-recent.
Maxxum 600si, A 35-70/4, Provia 100F converted to B&W.
Some recent Tri-X (pushed to 1600) shots. Nice to have the Canon 50mm f/1.2 now so I can take the camera out at night and generally not worry about missing the shot because of a lack of light.
Beautiful shot IDURITA. A slight warming filter in photoshop might improve the image, but the content is what matters, and here the wistful look in the right lion's eyes is what makes the shot.
This shot is very well done wire gen. Seems there may be a bit of blue in the shadows which you can fix with a curve or selective color layer. But its really, really nicely done.
Love that shot of the clouds and mountain. The light on those trees is kind of delicate, but really pretty. I'd love to see an 11x14 of this. Not too big, but big enough to draw you in.
Hi all, lots of wonderful shooters here. Think its time to share and here's my first pics post in the forum. M6 35/2 Cron, scanned with Canon 8800F. Hope I posted pics correctly.

My first thought was aaawwwwww.... then it changed more into an eeewwwwwe!! I love dogs too, but I'm not sure I'd want to be the next human to come along and use that fountain... Dogs licks their junk after all.
