We lived at this horrible apartment on Cherokee off of Hollywood Blvd. (why would anyone in their right mind want to live off of Hollywood Blvd?). The apt management company seemed like their goal was to find young, dumb people (fresh off the bus to LA) who could trick their parents into cosigning the lease. In 2007, our studio rented for $1250 a month (which seems like a steal now), but I was only making $8.25/hr as a lens technician...so...I was living off of hotdogs and instant ramen. Thanks! The Sweeney-fied Jupiter-3 works well...even if the inherent build quality of the lens is sub-optimal.

Shibuya Sky’s observation deck was closed due to weather the night we went. I tried to get a few snaps, and this is the only one I’m kinda happy with lol.

Def has some Bladerunner vibes.

From 2006...my first roll through my Nikon FE2. At that point in my journey, I didn't totally understand what the aperture did. I just figured that the smallest number was best. lol. Now I try to shoot at the smallest f-number so I can infuriate myself with the number of out-of-focus shots I take.

Nowadays some many street photographers ( especially what we see on Youtube / who shoot digital ) shoot wide open all the way.

Aperture wide open notwithstanding, if this was the AE from the FE2, the exposures are bang on.

The lights passing through the temple
A small temple, hidden in a noisy village and town, usually quiet and forgettable; On a clear morning, a ray of morning sun always arrives as promised, passing through the gaps between the buildings, the eaves and the incense towers, as if greetings from the gods, bringing a brief sparkle to this slightly lonely small temple.
In spring, when the guardian woman passed through this divine light with an incense stick, I just shot this with the last film in my camera.

It was such a great camera. I feel like all the Nikon pro-sumer bodies over deliver.

Sadly, my current Nikon pro-sumer body - a 2000 New FM2 has stopped working...need to get it repaired.
