I've been scanning a bunch of 20 year old negatives of a friend that is nearing the end of their life. I wanted to send them these (and many other) images of their younger self and hopefully have them to share with their children. Of importance to me, the subject of the photos was in the last journalism major class at the U of O to be taught using a chemical darkroom (it was replaced with a computer lab the next year). And they then taught me how to use a camera and develop film, etc.

People were shelling out big bucks for it. Seriously though, everything in there was massively overpriced.
I love a good 90's-feeling grocery store image, and man this one has it all. Tired linoleum floors, bold but not quite vivid colors, the pasture artwork over the dairy section, product stacked up in the aisle, no cell phones visible, it's just perfect.

I recently had a job in Chile and Andros Bahamas and took a stab at E100 with my Mamiya 6 for personal work. I scanned these myself and learned a lot. Absolutely love how they turned out. I wish I would have shot 2-3 more rolls!
The process has really helped my out personally. Thanks for all the inspiration on here!

Some shots from the OM2. XP2, lab scans. The first roll of black and white I have shot in a very long time. Was skeptical about shooting black and white film instead of digital, but not anymore. I expect I will be shooting a lot more black and white going forward.
We lived at this horrible apartment on Cherokee off of Hollywood Blvd. (why would anyone in their right mind want to live off of Hollywood Blvd?). The apt management company seemed like their goal was to find young, dumb people (fresh off the bus to LA) who could trick their parents into cosigning the lease. In 2007, our studio rented for $1250 a month (which seems like a steal now), but I was only making $8.25/hr as a lens technician...so...I was living off of hotdogs and instant ramen. At any rate, one of the best things was the building had rooftop access and I had a recently Sweeney-fied Jupiter-3.
