Sadly, my current Nikon pro-sumer body - a 2000 New FM2 has stopped working...need to get it repaired.
My first camera was an FE, and then I upgraded to an FE2 (bought in camera-expensive Copenhagen -- to this day still the only camera I bought new), and I thought I was king of the world with the FE2! 1/4,000s shutter, TTL flash, and just _such_ an intuitive metering system: It was part of my body, an extension of my eyes. I later got an F3/T, and now shoot with the Df, but the FE2 will remain my first love.

There's really not much that you can't do with the FE/FE2. It's my standard recommendation when someone wants a manual SLR as it's a great starter camera. All the exposure info you need is right there in the frame to understand what's happening, and auto exposure is there to get someone off the ground quickly. They really do overdeliver.
Some shots from inside a very dark Porter's Books in Sarasota Florida from last month. Something a little different than the building exteriors I've been posting.

My FE2 failed - shutter speeds were all over the place not matching indicated exposure - which was such a bummer as I loved that camera. My FM and FM2n were fine - but sold as I had F2/3 etc so too many cameras.
We went to the Oregon coast for a few days. We stayed in Lincoln City and the plan was to go to the aquarium in Newport util a storm with forty mile an hour gust and plenty of rain made us decide to watch it from the comfort of our room. I did use up some Tri-X and here are a few:
The original location for the Otis Cafe was gutted by a fire on July 4th, 2019. They have moved to a new location and are quite successful. The buildings owner started a renovation then stopped.
