Last of the Retina folders! It has the best viewfinder and that great Schneider lens. I have owned a number of Retinas but never had a Big C. If it should need service check with Paul Barden in Corvallis, Oregon after the first of the year. He has serviced several Retinas for me and his work is just great.

Some advice, always advance the lever for the full stroke. The cocking rack on the bottom winders can be damaged by mis-winding or trying to wind when either the counter reaches "0" or at the end of the roll. The frame counter

I noticed that film advance issue while I did research. Thank you remind me again.

Also, @rji2goleez @ocean2059 thank you

@kwoodard, Bishop proper isn't really a ghost town, but lots of interesting places nearby up and down Highway 395.

Mamiya NC1000 + Ilford HP4+ Ilfotec DD-X

Overall not too happy with the development of this roll. Perhaps I gave it too much agitation but at ISO-125, I was expecting less grain. These are the best of the roll but some are quite grainy. I use Lab Box to develop film so instead of inversions, I turn the crank. I'm separately having issues with the take up reel such that in certain places on the reel, the film is touching itself. Those frames are then not exposed and ruined. I have an inquiry to Ars-Imago.

Between testing the Pentax Espio, the Canon Snappy's, using both the Retina IIa (that had advance problems) and the Reto it felt like forever since I used one of the Leicas. I loaded the M4-2 with my last roll of Flic Film Aurora 800 in September and finally had an opportunity to use it this week. I was also using a different meter. A few years back, ther was a Gossen Digisix, used it for a while and bundled it with some other meters in a sale. During our trip to Paris, the little Reveni cube did a passable job but there were times incident metering would had been useful. I liked having a meter that was smaller than the Sekonic 308 so I bought a Digisix 2 and it was used for this roll. The lens was a 35 1.4 Nokton Classic SC VII and a ND-2 filter to bring the speed down to 400. The film was processed at a local lab and scanned it with the Sony A7CII fitted with a FE90 2.8 Macro.

Dead Shari's on the Light Struck First Frame of Aurora 800

Shari's was a Northwest version of Denny's. Open 24 hours and a convenient hang out for teenagers, stoners, grabbing something to eat when coming home from a bar and even the occasional late night worker. In the morning, it was a gathering spot for retiree's. The pandemic closures were followed by a series of bad management decisions and an over reliance on video lottery. About two months ago, without any warning, they closed all of the restaurants in Oregon.

I have several cameras have aperture priority but never used it because I don't really believe the light meter in a such old camera.
But this time I decided to give a try, it wasn't too bad but I still like to control the shutter speed by myself.

The metering looks spot on. Colour balance issues would be due to the artificial lighting but I think they add to the atmosphere of the scene.

I have found the metering in my M7 to be as good as my F6 - which was the most recent AE film slr sold.
