The metering looks spot on. Colour balance issues would be due to the artificial lighting but I think they add to the atmosphere of the scene.
I have found the metering in my M7 to be as good as my F6 - which was the most recent AE film slr sold.
Yea, it was not too bad but most of the time I like to shoot overexposed just a bit.
BTW, my M7 is little strange. I had to advance the film extra 2-3 times than M6 to have the counter shows 1 which made I could only shoot 32-33 photos each roll.

It seems like your film counter is off. What I would do is load it as per Leica’s instructions i.e put the film leader into the tulip, do NOT wind, put the base plate on closing the camera, then wind twice. Then start shooting no matter what the counter says. You will get 37-38 exp per roll.
ALL the film Ms from M6 onwards have replaced a metal gear in the film counter mechanism with a plastic one which is prone to fail resulting in film counter issues. Way to go Leica saving a nickel resulting in a possible $200 repair for the customer..
But I digress.. DAG can fix it for under $200. The counter in my MP (mechanical perfection!) failed like that.

Thanks, Bob! Another expensive hobby I need to avoid.
Ha! The vinyl store or the Mamiya? The Mamiya I picked up for $45 with lens. Meter works. It's an under the radar camera. I picked up a second camera for $14 not for the camera but for the 28/2.8. Trashed the camera but the 28/2.8 is great. Found another working model for $35 and it came with a 50/1.7 and a 135/2.8. There more on Ebay, some overpriced some for parts only.
Now, as for vinyl . . . I've been itchy to add a turntable to my system. It would certainly solve my GAS problem with photography!
