(come on...I know somebody wants this) FOR BOX AFFICIONADOS:
Here's a really odd one...I have the box for one Genuine OEM Canon LP-E6 Battery. This is a 'rare' find among box collectors ...so if you need one to complete your 'collection', send me a PM.
btw, I still have this item that treebeard sent me by mistake. I'll be happy to send it along to anyone in conus who wants it. I'll wait a week, and then put it up on craigslist for free.

I also have a 2X Auto Prinz Vari-I-Rim Lens Extender for Pentax. This extender is also made in Japan and it comes with it's own leather case. It works quite well.
Looks like the title of this thread says it all: Freebie, Nada, Zip, Nothing!
I meant this relative to those who were discussing the validity of charging for shipping. It fell between posts that does not make my point obvious. Forgot to Quote I guess.
I just responded to a guy looking for SD cards offering him some CF cards. My Karma must be way out of whack.
SO....I'll send 2 Sandisk 2gb Ultra II COMPACT FLASH cards to anyone who can use them for some sort of cause.
School?
Starving Student?
Environmentalist?
Caped Crusader?
Please send me one sentence stating how they'll be used and I'll send them at my expense.
I have benefited from the kindness of members who throw things up on this board. I am of the mind that just giving away something useful to others is such a wonderful thing in these tough times that to argue over whether or not to ask for postage seems incredibly petty.
I, for one, see nothing wrong with asking the recipient to pay for the mailing. If you are looking for them to not only give away an object of value but to pay to do so as well perhaps your sense of entitlement is a bit out of line.
There are those people, I included, who cannot always find the extra funds to pick up a nice and sometimes necessary item. I do not begrudge anyone who can share something even though they may not want to have to pay on top of their generosity.
It is the spirit of sharing this board promotes. Why condemn others who want to share the odd bit even if the one who ultimately receives it has to do a little something to help?
I sold a lens a while back, at a loss, to someone who could use it. I did not ask him to pay extra for the shipping of an identical lens that I sent along to be used for parts to repair the one he already owned. Since then he has passed along some of those parts to help others.
I thought the majority of people here wanted to share the joy of photography, not bicker about those who also want to share but think one should also try to help themselves as well.
I will hop off the soap box now and see if I can manage to stand and pick up my camera at the same time.
It just strikes me as mean spirited to make an issue of it.
There are a lot of people on this thread who believe that they run this forum and know what others should do. This forum is about people who have something they are not using, which someone else may be able to use, and who pays what to accomplish this goal should be of no concern to those not involved in the transaction. Lots of people want to stick their nose where it doesn't belong.

One set of auto extension tubes for M42 camera systems (Pentax, Zenit, etc) branded ORWO (made in the ex communist Germany) .
If somebody wants it, he will have to cover the shipping fees, which will be more likely about 15-20 USD, worldwide

Folks, I wasn't trying to make an issue out of anything! I was simply just stating my opinion, which is just as valid as anyone else's.
I personally do not have a problem with people charging shipping for stuff. I have paid shipping for stuff from this thread a number of times.
All I was saying was, if people are going to fuss about a straight trade, why is that worse than asking for shipping. That's it. I wasn't raising a fuss about people who charge shipping, and I don't care that they do.
I wasn't being mean spirited at all. I was just trying to understand the thoughts behind why someone thought it wrong to offer a "free" straight trade for some items. This is a great thread, and I think it is wonderful that it has been started and people are continuing it.
I am done with this "issue". I don't care that people charge shipping; I hope that is clear and understood. I wasn't bringing an issue with it, either. C'mon, people, quit reading into stuff.

Brand new hood for Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC.
This is from a NON-MACRO lens so not sure it will fit the newer version.
$2 to PayPal verified account so that I can print label from there.
Third PM get it?
EDIT: It goes to Weston.
Got it very quickly and it is brand new! Only problem is it's different than the Macro version. I was hoping they were the same thing, but oh well. It's just a tad bit smaller so I think it's for the 18-50mm with 67mm filter size.
Free two generic BP511 2000 mAh batteries. I just sold my 50D and no longer need them. These were bought January of this year so they are still fresh. They perform just as good as real Canon battery. I'll even pay for shipping to all 50 United States. They will be mailed in padded envelope.
As the starter of this thread long ago it was simple. Give something away that was of no use to me but someone else could use it. I did not want to throw it away but did not want to spend more on it either. Charging an actual shipping cost is fair if both agree. When I gave away a DVD or a sd card and it fit in an envelope for .44 that was easy but shipping a tripod for 8 or 9 bucks was different. I could give it to goodwill but I would like to help someone on here that might help someone else down the road. Trades were also not the intention of this. That is the B/S/T forum this is karma thread let's keep it that way.
Best example of this I gave away a external HD drive that was to small for me but went away fast with a small shipping. That day one of my super clamps broke and believe it or not one was offered up here. Karma baby, little shipping and I had my clamp replaced.
Thanks to all for keeping this idea and love alive for so long!
