Best example of this I gave away a external HD drive that was to small for me but went away fast with a small shipping. That day one of my super clamps broke and believe it or not one was offered up here. Karma baby, little shipping and I had my clamp replaced.
Thanks to all for keeping this idea and love alive for so long!
Tom
Tom,
I had forgotten about the superclamp. I'm glad I heard the story above.
This thread is infinitely better than some of the other long threads recently on this forum!
It's amazing that it's closing on 3000 posts and 300,000 views.
Thanks
Dave
For free:
Adidt M1 remote shutter release. Worked great with my 10D, but with my 40D it would only activate the shutter (the bulb feature did not work). So if you want to use the bulb feature, keep in mind it may be best on the older Canon cameras.
Not at all, Rian, and thanks for the nice words.
But Wicked said some truth in there, and that was the fact that this thread is about giving, not about asking for things to be given, so I removed my post, trying to keep alive the original noble meaning of this thread.
Peace

No shipping charges apply, no taxes apply, no handling fees apply, the title says it all, FS: Freebie, Nada, Zip, Nothing! meaning no associated costs, but forgive me a stipulation.
I have a Canon end cap E-58mm (Taiwan) to the the first person who can tell me what their idea was for helping to stop the BP oil leak. Post it here. If I am not here when you post, I'll be here tomorrow.

Keep on with the drilling of the relief well(s) while trying any and anything to cap, plug or otherwise redirect the flow into the ocean. In other words, keep trying everything they can even if it's highly likely not to work, but always have that back-up plan going... But more specifically, I really thought the pumping of heavy mud to counteract the pressure and then cementing it off was the best bet, guess not.
Canon 58mm end-cap officially GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to Dajavu.
It is my hope that all of you who read this will contact NOAA, US Coast Guard, BP at their site or even the white house to give them your ideas, cause this is a major disaster and we need to keep offering our ideas. I have sent mine 6 or 7 times to all the sites.
Dajavu PM me your mailing address for the end-cap.
I have a "Takumar" lens case, for someone that can use it. Internal dimensions are 4 1/2 " high & 2 1/2" diameter. It does not fit any lenses I have, so it's gathering dust.
Pics are at above link.
I'll even pick up the shipping to anywhere in North America - even to the US
