I have a travel charger for a Canon 1D MKII or MKIIN (maybe others as well) It's a CD-BCNPE3 charger
this is what it looks like (not my picture) http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n134/canonuser/IMG_0801.jpg
I have box and manual and adapter for europe with charger
I have a pro optic lens essential kit. 58 mm and includes a UV filter, circular polarizer calmer and neutral density filter in a nice little pouch. Free to a good home.
I'm hoping this type of post is welcome here, but if not, my apologies and feel free to delete. I figured since I'm asking for donations it may fall outside of the purview of the Buy/Sell thread.
I'm looking for gently used or new Canon LP-E10 batteries for Canon Rebels and/or gently used or new 4GB, 8GB, 16GB SD cards (write speed is not an issue).
If you have any offers or suggestions, please PM me. This is for instructional purposes (paid out of pocket) so I'm hoping someone is willing to donate these to me.
I've recently taken over as the photography teacher at a local high school. I consider myself really lucky to have this job, and for the program to be in fairly decent shape. We have a classroom set of Canon Rebel T7s and a handful of older Canon Rebel T5s for students to check out if they'd like to use them at home and/or on the weekends. Unfortunately, since these cameras have been purchased piecemeal over the years, the cameras, and batteries in particular, are in varying states of disrepair.
Since I teach multiple classes, I'll often have students run out of battery mid-class. We plug the battery in, but it takes a few hours to charge, so that camera is out of commission for a few hours. It's usually multiple classes later when the camera is up and running again. I try to charge them overnight whenever possible, but sometimes the students don't alert me, or the batteries just run down very quickly in the old cameras. As such, despite having enough cameras, I'm often low on batteries.
What would be incredibly helpful would be to have a reservoir of extra batteries. The Fine Arts department has a fairly limited budget and isn't too keen on buying extras, so I'm left to fend for myself. I'm hoping I can find some new and/or gently used ones floating around the photography community that you'd be willing to donate.
Additionally, you know how teenagers are... SD cards get lost all the time. And, sometimes they just break. Hoping to find some 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB cards in good working order that someone may donate. Another 10-20 would make things so much easier around here.
I might have some old SD cards. Pretty sure I do also have an adapter to to canon mount if you want to teach using some older but nice lenses. Dont have any free lenses for you but theres some really nice old Nikon and Pentax glass out there for cheap which is how I learned in college and it was great.

Hi KawasakiGuy37,
Just checking in - is this offer still valid? I've sent you a number of PMs over the past few months, but it looks like maybe they haven't even been read (not sure if I fully understand the FredMiranda PM setup). Can you let me know if you've received them?
I bought a Leicameter MR-4 to use with an M4, mainly because it looked so cool. And since the MR-4 requires 1.35 volt PX625 batteries that are no longer available, I bought an MR-9 battery adapter that allows you to substitute a common 386 battery for the 1.35v mercury oxide MR9, PX13 or PX625 batteries used in older cameras and meters, changing the shape and lowering the voltage of the 386 from 1.5v to 1.35v. It's explained in detail here:
I actually bought two MR-9 adapters, one for the Leicameter and one for an old film body that used PX625 batteries. I no longer have the M4 or Leicameter and, rather than throw the adapters away, I thought I'd ask if any FM members would like one. If so, send me a PM with your address details and I'll post one to you free of charge.
