We were in Salzburg Dec 21-22 and that is where this photo was taken. Annie spent her fall semester in England at Harlaxton College for a study abroad experience. Then we went to Munich for Christmas to spend with my Nephew and his family. We took a short trip to Salzburg while there to enjoy the Christmas markets and such. It was a fun trip.

PS - I should also post some photo's from our England visit.................. Busy travel year.
The Gregory Gregory Old Manor where Harlaxton University is now located; and where Annie spent her fall semester.

Dan, I live in a cave!. I haven't read newspaper/magazine for a long time. We cancelled the cable a year ago, we hadn't watched TV for a couple years anyway, too much trashy contents, sports have been politicized, news are biased (from both sides). I get my news from online sources, which aren't biased free either. There is no real journalism anymore.
I had to fly the Cub over to the factory early this morning for it's annual inspection. James came over with his Dad to pick me up. He got the Cook's tour of Cub Mecca...............

Wonderful experience for the young lady. I thought the background was Salzburg. We were there 15 or 16 years ago and we drove over to Germany from Salzburg to see Hitler's Eagle's Nest (Kehlsteinhaus) nearby, the view was breathtaking. Hard to imagine that evil man visited there 14 times.
Been a crazy week, lots of drone flight time, and in ridiculous zero altitude airspace. As always, Mike B. was there as my sounding board, and courage........................
What a week, low 70's and winds light and variable, Texas perfect! Added four hours of drone time to my bottom line, but my knees still shake when I'm done...........
But the defender and ball is headed right at me...
He slid into me, I thought he hit the camera when he hit me but it was the ball.
The camera is OK, the kid was OK. Three players (from both teams) came over to check on me, I was good. The school Athletic Director asked if I was OK when I left the gym and I told him "Yeah, it's like exercise!".
Close call Eddie but ya got the shot...Nice work and hope you're ok...And the camera/lens too.
I like how the ball says...THE ROCK on it.
Ps...Little bit of field goaling...

Goal tending is when the defender's hand is inside the basket cylinder when the ball is above or in the basket. This is a clean block. The defender's hand only touched the ball, although his hand on the defender's hand on the ball is legal.
I am good. I am squatting very low on the ground so I can wrap myself in a ball when they come at me.
When I changed baselines at the half, a fellow photographer came up to me to give me his chiropractor's business card.
That's funny Ray, true, but funny............Back in the day, most people our age weren't doing the things we are doing. Because I am in complete and utter denial as far as my vintage goes, I have to keep reminding myself why I might have a few aches and pains.

Yep. My doctor, because of my age, asks me if I have fallen in the last year. I use to tell him the truth and say "of course I have fallen because I do stuff!". Then I get the 6 year old 20 question routine. Now I just tell him "No".
Punxsy Phil did not see his shadow so that means an early Spring. Looking at the weather for the next week would confirm that...Sunny. 50-60's.....That works!

I'm surprised that Phil has not had some major malfunction due to "climate change"..........caused largely by John Carey's jet emissions while he flies around the globe to summits that avail nothing...................
That's hilarious Ray, the 20 question medicare grilling is ridiculous. I went in for a cold that I picked up on my trip to Florida, had to go through all of that, "no, I am not lonely, no I am not troubled by thoughts about harming myself, no, I haven't fallen........(more than a dozen times since I was last here...........)
ps: I am glad you guys didn't see how I got that 12 foot ladder up to 18 feet. There was a platform and several ratchet straps involved. Oh, and I was by myself. A friend stopped by to see how I was doing and snapped the photo.
pps: I had a college girl roll in to me today. Amazing, I have been doing this for 4+ years and these are the only two times I have actually been hit. Today was almost embarrassing to this old man. She fell with her feet toward me, which meant, if I kept my head vertical, it would have been one of those meme situation with a head up someone's arse. As soon as I saw what was happening, I laid on my back and turned my face to the wall until she was up. Sorry guys, no photo proof, I ain't THAT guy!

Suzanne had her Medicare secondary insurance changed by BCBS without her permission. She ordered her Lipitor and went to pick it up and it was $700 for the GENERIC brand, 90 day supply! $3000 for her Eylea eye shot every 5 weeks! She can't, as myself, take a generic! It DON'T work!
Any way it took 2 weeks and thousands of phone calls to get her back into her original plan. It seems a snafu happened in October'23 when Medicare and BCBS sent out, or did NOT send out the new notifications that you had to "OPT OUT" or get royally screwed with Rx's and coverages!
I also received a letter from my Medicare Advantage Plan(they are crap but Rx prices are pretty good). They were seeking personal information of what VA benefits I am receiving at this time. Especially diagnosed PTSD or TBI. But the must subpeona that info from the DoD not me.
Jim, that was one of the questions. Plus certain Army medical records included private psychological and medical evaluations that are "Not For Their Eyes".
They promised me that it would NOT affect my current plan!
I did NOT reveal any info. I think some insurances are looking to "bow out" of some coverages if you are a veteran!
Hope I am wrong!
