I wonder what the idiot reporter would have said from my back seat as I landed my taildragger in 20 knot crosswinds in RVN.
(Crab approach to the up-wind one wheel on the runway till it was time to keep the three-points straight . . . Yeah - never again!)
If it had not been an operational necessity . . . . . . . never again.

Happy New Year!
Yeah these "fruit-loops" have no idea what pilots and crews go thru trying to take off and land any aircraft!
Wait till they are in an aircraft and hit a dead air pocket and the aircraft drops 5-10,000 feet before it regains control!!! Bet he wished he had some toilet paper with him!!!

Went to the Lincoln Memorial at sunrise this morning to shoot the buffleheads in the Reflecting Pool, saw this plane that just took off from Reagan National approaching the moon, swung my camera around to snap a couple shots, the ISO was set at 100 in error, the shots were massively under exposed. Thank God to Topaz Denoise I was able to salvage the shot.
In 2024 I am looking at 10 or 11 airshows that I want to attend. The season can't come soon enough.
Just fantastic photography Douglas! I expect nothing less from you and you have proven me correct!
Just well done and a mentor to all here on FM! #1 is just fantastic! #2 should be a symbol to ALL AMERICANS regardless of political philosophy! We are united as Americans and much of the World is envious of us and do not like us!
Happy New Year!
