Every once in a while I go back through my older folders and it makes me realize just how many of my subjects are gone. This thing that we love so much extracts it's toll, particularly from those who take it to the extreme...............
All,
Tomorrow and Christmas day will be busy and I just wanted to make sure tell you guys Merry Christmas! I hope each and every one of you have a Happy New Year as well.

Not to mention the photographers who have departed..............
Yes Jim, had some good time's with Jon photographing planes at your neck of the woods.
And also Rodolfo some genuine good guys but Rodolfo is as far as I can see still here.
You all have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the family and food at least we do that over here, do you all do that also over there?
Merry Christmas Jan Arie! Yes, Rodolfo is still on deck as far as I know. Odd photo because those two were like oil and water, both nice guys, just not to each other.
Yup, Christmas is a big deal, the whole clan will be here on and off for the next several days, church, food, presents. Hope you have a wonderful one!
That shot reminds me of another reason OSHKOSH isn't a big deal for me anymore. Canon had a house on Wittman Field, they had a full staff to loan out equipment and answer questions. All my Canon buddies were usually there. They had a half dozen Prograf large format printers and a bunch of computers, if you were a Canon guy/gal you could stop in and relax, print your favorite stuff and eat frozen treats, it was great. Some new bonehead manager decided that they didn't need to spend the money for that and it all went away.
Paul and Tom Poberezny were very good friends, great people, it rubbed me the wrong way when the corporate types began to take over OSH and pushed them out, sad.

Thank you gentlemen!
Dan, this morning I went to take pictures of the sunrise at the Netherlands Carillon, it was just too cloudy. I was hoping to get some shots of Arlington National Cemetery but there was no light hitting ground at all, I didn't even bother to take one single picture. I am still hoping for a couple inches of snow before the Christmas wreaths are removed.
A few shots of the Library of Congress and the Capitol from yesterday. I hope I wasn't near where the two dudes had their "performance".
Merry Christmas!
Douglas
Most beautiful photography Douglas!
I am sorry I did not contact you before I had breakfast with the Honor Guard then help coordinate the wreath laying! I have been very ill the last 2 months and I am wearing a mask all the time. The docs have no idea what I have or had!
Seems to be lessening a lot.
I am sure we will have some snow before mid January.

Have a Merry Christmas brother!

Dear Dan,
Sorry to hear that you are still battling whatever it is. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a healthy 2024, you guys deserve a break! JIII is at the tail end of what I think was COVID. We didn't test him because it really didn't matter.

Thank You Jim!
It's a bitch, excuse my language! No covid of any kind, no RSV, no normal illness......cant see any real doctors until January. CT scans show something then nothing!
It is what it is! On the downhill anyway I pray!
