Glenn, for me it's the incredible light, the hair, and face it the quality of the work period. But that light has the hair on my neck standing, in a very good way, you caught something there. Always outstanding work! But that is easily in the top three if not #1. My .02

There's something about that inverted Patty Wagstaff image that takes the cake for me Glenn!

Nick,
You could send some of that pudding over to the states !!!
Bill, your gona get me killed - it's a pie not a pudding.
Of course, in the finest traditions it's a pie with no pastry. No chance of getting an export licence - I'm still doing ....err.... quality control .
How many souls on this earth can say they have had their photo taken inverted air to air with the great Glenn Watson? Glenn, you put me in great company! Makes me proud to have this...my favorite!
Thanks Wrei but I think you have Legendary in front of the wrong name buddy! I do love that photo though and so glad you got to fly with Rob - now is that a thumbs up, or thumbs down??

Glenn, it's been a real pleasure seeing your work developing .... err no - exploding! Thank you so much for letting us all enjoy the fruits of you labours.
Thanks for the nice remarks Nick. It all started right here! This is still my favorite place on the internet even though i've been kinda quiet of late I still check it everyday.
Been a lot of fun to learn and grow with everybody here and i appreciate you keeping me around!

Well fine, love em both tho...Keep the QC work up, .
A long day of shooting out of town, followed by an evening with an old friend............. Unlike some, JT's voice is still as sweet as ever. Once again, he amazes, he's one of the kindest individuals I have ever met.
Had a busy few days lately, photographed a Lear Jet 45, a Citation Encore and a Challenger 600 on this recent trip to the Hill Country. The best rewards on this trip, other than getting to photograph beautiful airplanes is stopping off at a local Peach stand, buying FRESH peaches and having a double dip of homemade Peach ice cream.
Doesn't get any better in my opinion.
Here is a shot of the Lear 45. When I photographed this jet, it was 102 on the ramp and it was HUMID !!

That is a beautiful image Nick! Please don't cork off before we have had a little time to hang out together. As far as retirement, I just can't envision it when I have got this running so smoothly, but I do plan on doing more of what I've done lately, just chuck it and head out when it feels like the right thing to do. Sheila and I have our 50th wedding anniversary coming up in a year and a half, I believe that calls for a a pretty extended get away to somewhere neat. Just my little trip to be with Gracie when she asked me to meet up with her was a real treat and not something that I usually allow myself. We had a wonderful time together and we're going to do more of that. She wants to go back to Crystal River this winter and dive with the Manatee when they come in from the Gulf, another reason I'm researching underwater cases. ...Show more →
Well... that explains a lot. Over here a 50th wedding anniversary is a Gold wedding anniversary - but don't worry - if you make it to 60 years that's Diamond. No cheap seats on that one! If the grand event is 18 months out you will need to go to a more temperate place than the US. How about NZ? Or would Hawaii be OK at that time of year? Of course you could always make it a two part event with the second part in the north hemisphere summer - a Danube cruise beckons.
As for diving with Manatee and underwater housings - well bring it on!

I did that many moons ago before the state put a lot of areas off limits at the areas of the springs on the Crystal River where they congregate in the winter. At first we had full scuba gear so we could just sit underwater and observe, but the manatees are so skittish even the bubbles often startled them. We settled on snorkeling and just floated in amongst them with absolute ninimal movement. Every once in a while a baby would paddle up and just stare into our faces for a while trying to figure out what we were. I'm not sure how they'll react to a whole camera and housing. Beautiful and peaceful animals.
