"Members of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels visited Naval Air Station-Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth Thursday ahead of a planned demonstration at an air show in 2024. "Wings Over Cowtown" is scheduled for April 13 and 14, 2024 and will be the first air show at JRB since 2016.
Many fantastic compositions here Bill, Rob and Jim!
I love to see the "driver's area" in these monsters! All the "bells and whistles. gears and gadgets"! I liked the simple cockpit of the UH-1!

The guy I hung out with for a while yesterday was a door gunner in the late 60's early 70's.
I should NOT have been in the "driver's" seat Bill BUT the Captain allowed me to do so every now and then. I was recovering from leg wounds and they, my co, assigned me to be a desk clerk for 2 weeks! I said NO WAY SIR!!! I will volunteer as a door gunner and the doctor ok'd that!
I could not sit around pushing a pencil while my team was out on a mission. LZ Stud- April 1968-Operation Pegasus
So I went to Toledo on Friday afternoon and then photographed a Citation CJ3+ on Saturday morning on a beautiful, winter day. While I was there, this DC-9-10 was just SCREAMING for me to take a photograph of it.
This bird was built in 1967, for TransTexas Airways, which became Texas International Airlines. Oh the stories this jet could tell. After I left, the aircraft flew to Shreveport, LA and then on back to Mexico. I suspect it is flying all kinds of car parts around for the various car factories in the US.
I've wished our Buddy Mike Brewington lived close for a number of reasons, but this weekend I added a new one. Seems the 1/4" stainless cables that lift my hangar doors keep snapping and the only door repair game in town is all too happy to come out and replace them for a grand a piece. I'm now on my third cable and I'm thinking that they are installing them too tight. The cables just pull apart like they're made out of string. I'm going out to try to figure it all out on my own today, fortunately the complex collectively owns a scissor lift to help with this kind of work.
