Two things about tonight. I shot in a stadium with older lights, plus they light the area between the goal line and the 40 yard line on each end. The area between the 40 yard lines is moderately lit, very strange. The first thing is I realized how old my 7D II is. Looking in the view finder, it is very dark compared to my R6. Since I knew I would be in a low light stadium, I put the 300 on the R6 and the 70-200 on the 7D II. Second, I am glad I didn't sell my 300 2.8 II. Tonight it was great. I hand hold it on the sidelines. I am seriously considering getting the 1.4 extender to put on it for field sports. I will go with the f/4.0.
300 handheld from the sideline, I think he was watching to see if I caught the action...

Jim, that has to be the cleanest LT150 with more than 2 hours on the hour meter.
Hi Ray,
That little JD is 24 years old and has more miles on it than I can count, hauling Grandchildren, pulling the trailer, pulling sleds, 4th of July Parades, oh yeah......and mowing. I just rebuilt the mower deck and replaced the mulching kit, mine was pretty beat up. James and I change the oil and filters every three months. Not a day goes by that JIII doesn't ask me if we could just go on a little tractor ride, and the answer is pretty much always yes. I've got two new front tires and wheels coming. Tomorrow we put the Christmas Wreath on the front and we'll begin our dusk Christmas decoration rides around the neighborhood.

As it should be...And Papa is still working, you're a good figure and mentor to them all Jim...Keep enjoying it.
And ya, that tractor looks dam near new, especially the trailer.
.
Is it an electric one from Toys-R-Us Jim ?
Yeah Dan, and that's at least the second set of front tires, going on third, it spends a lot of time on the concrete walking paths around here. The Bonnet got brittle from age I guess so I replaced it a few months back.
Got a last minute call from a good client of mine the other morning. She is the director for a charitable foundation sponsored by her company, Texas Credit Union. Tracey has sent me a lot of business over the years and she is a good friend with a heart as big as all outdoors. Texas Credit Union has a whole A/V group that does photography and videography, but Tracey likes how I shoot and this morning she asked if I would come and "do what you do". Tracey's work, and heart is with the homeless and the "underserved", even though I had a dozen things that I could be doing, there is no way that I could say no to her. There were a bunch of run of the mill photographs to take, but amongst them there were some real images that told the story...........
