Bill, you seem to have a very interesting job. Nice images!
Thanks, I love it...These were from mock up F-18 parts and I had a real HUD, Cameras, Gauges, Seat and other parts that make up a complete dash that we replicated for one of my customers. He was a Retired Navy Pilot with many carrier landings and had a web site, thesimulatorstore but that was quite a while ago and I don't think he is doing that anymore. His name was Steve Patterson, really great guy and great to work with...Just fired up our new laser etching machine, Co2/Fiber and ran my first test panel, same one that did my metal business cards, this will be great, will do more test runs Monday on metal, wood and glass. Can't wait to laser etch my challenge coins that I make, talk about personalization...Gotta start working on Christmas Ornaments soon as well, bout that time of year ya know.

Great photography brother!
Love to see the "insides" of "stuff". Especially aviation...Love the Blue Angels!!!
Great work Bill!
This article brings me back to the photographer who underbid me on a Gulfstream GV years ago. His bid was $500 lower than mine so the client bit, then he melted a window with a hot light. The cost of the shoot was actually $27,000.00 higher than mine.....................

All the work by safety engineers to get the operational constraints analyzed and documented was ignored. Those user manuals with the safety warnings IN THE FRONT are not kneepads!
You are right Ray! I am so paranoid that I set up my light stands at least twice the distance of their height away from the fuselage and sandbag them on top of that. Never want to explain a scratch, bubbled paint, or a deformed widow to a client.
I was in San Diego at a vendors facility to perform an acceptance review on $1.5 million worth of front end processing equipment. They had an IBM RISC computer installed on the top shelf. During the review, I asked them what is the weight of a fully loaded RISC computer plus the shelf vs the safe load factor for the shelf brackets. They said they didn't know and had to look it up. This was an IT engineering company. The weight of the RISC and metal shelf was over 30% of the working weight requirements for the brackets. They simply bought brackets that met the extension length needed to move the shelf out of the cabinet. They had to order all new brackets at significant cost before we could accept them, all because no one read the safety precautions. NASA, our customer, would have been unhappy if a 130 lb. shelf fell on the head of a technician.
