A very bad day for some aircraft owners. A malfunctioning fire suppression system turned everything in this hangar into scrap in less than two minutes, including two new Bentleys and a Citation X that you can't see in the foam..............
I'm in the process of creating another Thunderbay 8 for HQ, filling it with 22TB drives and backing up all my client/Stock work. Gonna take a bit............ and this is just a small slice of it.
As most of you know I have been providing "feature" shots to the local paper. This year, because of the time of day I have been adding fill flash to my photos. I wish I could use the Manfrotto Lastolite but the winds here on prairie would make me carry a 55 lb+ weight system to keep it from being blown away. Since I am allow about 5-7 minutes with these guys before practice, that would not work. I am using my external flash at a 45° angle opposite the sun. I really liked this one.
(If I have them looking toward the sun they squint, and that is just unacceptable.)

1 hour, 4 hours, 14 hours, 2 days, 4 days...Dam Jim...Lotta pixs and video.
I can't even come close to thinking about how many pictures you have total, would take a year or more to look at em all.
My computer upstairs has been running for 24 hours straight just chewing on those files, dozens more waiting to be copied. I plan for about a week and a half when I make a copy of my client and stock files, of course it gets longer every time I do it.This array is not, initially, going to be a RAID, it's in a JOBD configuration to maximize storage space. The 8 bays gives me 176TB in JOBD vs 154TB in RAID 5. This array is a triple redundant copy of those files so if a disk fails it won't be tragic, as long as I know what was on it.
