Seriously Jan Arie, keeping your gear close to you isn't much of a solution, they will rip it from your hands and beat you in the process. I have three friends that are commercial shooters who have been robbed, two of them assaulted in the process in the San Francisco area. Travel in a big pack Buddy and watch your six, nine, twelve and three, it's a whole different world over here now.
JIII and I spent a rare (lately) afternoon at the hangar, it was wonderful. I haven't had time to fly the Cub in a couple of months and this evening was looking to be pretty perfect. James and I buckled up and put another 1.0 in his logbook, the sky was incredible. Like his first flight, I concentrated on the experience, not photography.
One of my other favorite lines from Jimmy was, "I made enough money to buy Miami, but I just pissed it all away......." He was fun to hang with, in reality a very serious guy and a savvy business man.

Mm ok as I don’t know yet what the program is for SF.
If we have a good hotel maybe I can leave the bag in the hotel.
The bag isn’t to big and is some sort of back pack
Will see , it makes me a bit scared though 😱
It's a body and the lens the pouch on the side is the 24-105.
Just finished editing my commercial pool projects for 2023. lots of stills but lots of 4K video. This MBPro is really pretty snappy when it comes to dealing with 4K footage. This project, as a whole, had over 100 4K clips to tweak.
I guess the price of an Inspire 3 isn't such a big ask, I saved my client $4,000+ in helicopter time on these projects alone.More of my time involved but that works for both of us.
For my next adventure, I headed to Seattle, Washington for a long weekend. And due to my wide variety of activities during this adventure, I’m going to split it up into three posts.

I thought that, for the first time since 1980, I had finally actually worn out a Canon camera. This morning I grabbed the R5 for while on a shoot for an oilfield equipment designer/fabricator and the camera was DOA. Every once in a while it would clunk and then go dead again. When I got home I did some triage and discovered that my trusty R5 had not failed, but a couple year old Angelbird 512 CF Express Type B was the culprit. I am in the process of seeing how Angelbird honors their warranty.
I was pretty bummed because the last thing I wanted to do was buy another R5/R5C when I know that I'll be buying at least two new bodies early next year when Canon finally starts pumping them out. Color me relieved!
Just called one of my suppliers and told them to put me on the list for two of whatever comes out next R1, R5 II, R5C II. They have gotten used to me asking to start the list long before the camera actually comes out, and it has worked pretty well on my end too because I am number one on the list at this point. No one, not even my guys inside Canon have any idea what is or is not coming, and when, so I throw a dart at the wall and wait.
Haven't heard a word from Angelbird, a bit disappointing given the fact that I just got six 512GB Angelbird CFE-B cards a few weeks ago. I've kind of standardized on card redundancy in all my bodies, the camera writes the same thing to both cards, yesterday just reinforces that strategy. That card went toes up just sitting in the camera, it worked up to the point that I shut the camera off, and it was toast when I booted the camera back up. Didn't lose anything, but it's a sobering possibility that always lurks in one's mind. Seems like the new cameras will all have dual CFE-B slots which is good, although I don't think I have ever had an SDXC card go bad.
