Yup! Didn't expect to get the first shoot done in time to run by the Zoo so I didn't have the RF 600/4 with me. I shot these with the RF 100-500. I'm sure that there would have been a slight addition to the image quality and Bokeh with the 600/4, but this is an example of just how great the RF 100-500 is. This is straight out of the RAW converter, no sharpening at all.

And the main reason I went to the show, the Raptor... I didn't shoot much with the 600mm+1.4 TC this time, the runway is very close to the viewing area.
Stellar set as usual Douglas
Hoping to catch some F-16 Vipers and CF-18 Hornets this coming Labor day weekend. Last year they cancelled due to low cloud ceiling.
Dan, this particular gunship is the AC-130J Ghostrider.
Thanks Douglas!
The ammo rounds expended were so fast and so many that it was like a red laser beam to the ground. Thank heavens for them! Gave us small teams a chance to be extracted before larger forces overran us.
When the dual new AC's came into the air support, having 2 "chain guns" on 1 side was awesome!

Back out on that limb, gotta figure out a way to light a 777. I woke up about every hour last night thinking about possible solutions, this ain't no biz jet.............
On another note...
Been hangin out with the 10 Tanker Crew lately.
Even got a front seat, pilot seat selfie today...Pretty neat and a great crew.
Didn't realize one of the front tires comes off the ground when turning, something else to see.
