Ya, there is so much going on at an event like that! 76 teams, 1500 to 2000 folks from the colleges to volunteers to...... Parents were flying in from all over the country to watch their children / teams playing in the mud. That first 30 to 60 minutes of the race is just crazy; then the cars string out some and lots start finding the weak spots in their's and it slows down but still just a ton of stuff going on. And it's not just the cars, the volunteers are pretty crazy fun too.
A few more for tonight and if you all enjoy, I can do some more tomorrow too.
There is so much going on! I bet it would take this whole MA2A team to really cover what is taking place.
But I enjoy it, and so do the students! There are about 5-6 really good tumble sequences like this, I will identify the team and contact the captain in these cases to make sure the team gets the full set of photos.

In the interest of slowing down in my "Golden" years, I've been appointed to the position of Director of Marketing and Imaging for Element Energy Services. These are great people who are working their hearts out in the interest of American energy independence, it's a privilege to be associated with them.
Thanks and congratulations to you Jim. This sounds like a role that you alluded to recently. If you get to spend more time with family (and grand son), then - what could be better than that.
Cheers,
Steve

These folks wanted me to quit shooting for other clients and just concentrate on their needs, but I respectfully told them that I wouldn't have any interest in doing that. Been around too long to put all the eggs in one basket. So, I'll just organize my time as wisely as possible and give them the same attention that I try to give all my clients.
Indeed, adding the energy company and my 777 guys sure rounded out my schedule. One of these days I may even be able to see sunlight from the crater that COVID dug.

I have a couple of my swimming pool electronic valves have failed. I needed some micro electronic connectors so I started searching for local electronic shops. Bottom line, they were all shut down because they couldn't survive COVID. Shameful what the COVID criminals did.
So a good friend of mine has a YouTube channel with over 195k subscribers. He has videos of trains, planes and 18 wheelers. We decided to go out to California last weekend and shoot trains at Cajon Pass and Barstow, CA where the BNSF has a huge operation.
The first day was spent at Cajon Pass, while the second day was spent mainly east of Barstow to get some really fast moving trains.
This is called a Z Train as it is nothing but stacked trailers on it. This train was the only one we saw that was heading west bound on what is normally an east bound rail line. The Z trains get priority over ALL other trains. This one was zooming by when I captured it.
